2017 Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

2017 Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

Hi Friends!

Welcome to the DeNami stop of the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop! Today we are featuring a coffee card with summery colors! I always love the cool colors that pastels give. In this card, I wanted to create a very fun and special 3D card. I made a very similar one a couple of days ago and used the techniques for this card. Check it out HERE.

Before we get started, DeNami just reached 6,000 Likes on our Facebook page. To celebrate this milestone we are giving away four $25 online gift certificates. That means four winners! You can enter HERE.

As an added bonus, we are offering a special coupon code for our Coffee Lover's Blog Hop participants. Get 15% off your entire order using coupon code SCLBH17.
Coupon ends 6/30/17.

In addition to our Facebook Giveaway, we are giving away a $20 DeNami online gift certificate if you leave a comment! Share what your favorite summer drink is!

Ok, now for the card project:

Here is a coffee lover's stand up pop up card.

I started out by cutting the PC21 white cardstock in half. I stamped the F157 scalloped rectangle three times, creating a window effect.
I then used the N133 Polka Dot Background to stamp the background using TK-VG037 Sea Breeze VersaMagic ink pad.

I then cut the PC21 White Cardstock into quarters and folded them into an accordion fold.

I then attached them using the ATG01 Adhesive Dispenser to the longer side of the card.

Then attach the back panel to the card. This is what it will look like from the side.

This is what it will look like once attached. They using a blue Tombow marker, line the scallops to accent the scallops.

Using the Onyx VersaFine Ink Pad, stamp the E207 Medium Happy-Cino three times.

Color in using Tombow markers. Then cut out leaving a little margin around them.

Cut six 1/2 inch strips from the PC21 White Cardstock. Putting two strips in a "V", take the bottom strip and fold over the top one, repeating with the one that is at the bottom, creating a "Jacob's ladder".

Repeat to create three. Then attach to each E207 Happy-Cino cutout.

Through each window, attach the drinks to create a little 3D effect.

Stamp F195 Stitched Rectangle on cardstock and stamp "I Love Coffee" from the CRM02 Cafe Clear Stamp Set in the stitched rectangle. Then stamp the "heart flower" from the PF55 Whimsical Valentine Petit Fours stamp set on each side of the sentiment and then color with Tombow markers.

Cut out the stitched rectangle and attach to grosgrain ribbon and cut the ends into a chevron cut. Using GL01 Quickie Glue Pen, color where you want the glitter to be.

Make sure you use a larger envelope to accommodate the bulk of the card. A padded envelope is not necessary but be prepared to pay extra postage. This card will flatten down and will pop back up when it is removed from the envelope. You can write a message on the back or attach a separate panel to the back so it can be reused. This makes a beautiful gift as well as a card.

Sneak Peek Week Day 5- Warm Wishes

Sneak Peek Week Day 5- Warm Wishes

Hello Friends,

I hope you have been having a fun time following the sneak peeks for this season. It has been fun unveiling the cute stamps that will make you smile.

Today's theme is Warm Wishes. It is a theme you can use through the entire Christmas and winter season. You can add any of the Christmas images to make it into a Christmas theme. As always, all our stamps go great together.

Here is the group of projects I made for this theme. I love the whimsical feel of this collection.

Here is the first card. I stamped the Winter Wishes stamp set as a background using the Smoky Grey Versafine ink pad. It was a softer look than my usual black.

Tilting the images created a more random feel than used stamping it straight. I then used VersaMagic Sea Breeze pad with the snowflake that is in the PF75 Christmas Joys Petit Fours stamp set.

This next one has lots of layers. I used the Smoky Grey Versafine again to create this muted look. I stamped the polka dotted background using VersaMagic Sea Breeze available from DeNami HERE.
VersaMagic is a great pad for making soft backgrounds. It is a go-to pad for me when I want to make my own backgrounds. The polka dotted background I used is N136 Medium Polka Dots.

Isn't this a lovely blend of soft colors with a pop of color? This color combo remind me of hot cocoa or chocolate and raspberries, doesn't it?

The last project is a pillow box made from DeNami's downloadable template. I stamped the N133 Polka Dot Background in the Smoky Grey Versafine Inkpad.

I printed the template, cut it out and then scored at the fold lines and just assembled. I used ATG to seal the seam, available from DeNami HERE.

I hope you enjoyed today's installment. Tomorrow is the big reveal! Be sure to comment on each of the day's posts to be entered into several giveaways. You will have until Sunday, October 30 to enter.

Come back tomorrow to see the rest of the stamps!
By the way, we have a Facebook event with the Sneak Peek Week featured. You can join us HERE.

Happy Birthday Cappucino Card

Hello, DeNami Design Friends!

It’s Lisa P. This week our DT projects are all about layers. Using die-cuts is a fun and simple way to add layers to your cards. And foam tape is a great way to add a 3D effect to this layered look.

My card for today features the NEW CL-E207 Medium Happy-cino stamp, one of my favorites from the most recent release!!!

I die-cut the scalloped rectangle frames from white cardstock. I then cut a 3” x 4” panel from patterned paper and adhered it to the back of the smaller frame. I cut a 4” x 5” panel from patterned paper and adhered it to the back of the larger frame. I mounted the larger frame directly onto a blank kraft card base and then used 3D foam tabs to mount the smaller frame on top. I stamped the NEW CL-E207 Medium Happy-cino image onto a circle die-cut from white cardstock, added color with markers, added sparkle with a glitter pen, and adhered it to the top center of my card with 3D foam tabs. To finish, I die-cut a banner from white cardstock, stamped the sentiment in the center, folded the edges of the banner and adhered it to the card with a strip of foam tape.

Here’s a closer look:

And here’s a better look at the 3D layers:

I hope you like my project for today!

Thanks for visiting!!!

Coffee Gift Card Box

Hi Everyone!

Elizabeth here with another post for DeNami Designs. I know a lot of coffee drinkers but personally I’m not one of them. I don’t like coffee at all. So I struggle with what to get coffee loving friends and family. Then I figured out that there is no better gift than a gift card to their favorite coffee shop and for most of my friends and family that is Starbucks. I used Starbucks colors as the inspiration for making a gift card box.

This project is very easy and fast to make, so you can make lots of them for birthdays, holidays and even parties! First I made the gift card box using a pillow box die. I chose a pattern paper that is white with green polka dots. Assembling the boxes easy! Just fold the 2 score lines that die creates for you and use tape runner or liquid glue on the tab. The ends of the box have flaps that you just fold in. One of the flaps has a notch and I do recommend folding that flap in first to get a clean look. Next, I stamps the Medium Happy-Cino on smooth white cardstock and colored it in with Copic markers. I kept the coloring simple by not doing any shading but if you want to, you can because the image is large enough. I used a scalloped circle punch to cut out the coffee and then adhered it with liquid glue. I hope that you enjoyed my project for today and that it inspires you to make some fun gift card boxes!

Guest Designer- Amy Tsuruta "I Need Coffee" Card

Hi Friends,

We welcome Amy Tsuruta for another installment as our guest designer. Today she creates this cute coffee card using the technique of masking. Masking is when you create the illusion of groupings by blocking a stamp or several stamps and stamp another image overlapping the blocked stamp, making it appear they were all in the same "scene".

Amy created this "scene" using coffee cups and making them appear they are in a cluster in the middle and bottom of the card. Isn't this clever?!

You can create these circle windows using die cuts or paper punches. It is a great and easy way to create interest on your card without too much work. This little strip can also be used to make a simple bookmark as an added gift.

Thanks for joining us today and
have a great weekend!

Guest Designer- Amy Tsuruta "Don't Worry Be Happy"

 Hi Friends,

Today, we have the privilege of having a Seattle designer join us on the blog. Her name is Amy Tsuruta and she is co-founder of the Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog, a papercrafting blog that incorporates the love of anything coffee/tea with cardmaking.

She will be joining us these next few weeks to show us how she uses DeNami for her unique cardmaking style. This week's theme is All About Layers and her card is not exception. She uses various layers to create her fun and crafty card. This card design would be great for using up those scraps you have around.

This freestyle card is also good if you are one of those that have a hard time centering or lining up layers. There is no wrong way to do this card. If you notice, she has a layer using a recipe. How fun is that?!

Be sure to check out tomorrow's post to see Jeanin's layered project. See you then!

Week of Coffee/Tea and Donuts Day 4

Hello DeNami Friends!

This time I want to show you a card featuring thie cute Coffee and Donut stamp by DeNami Design. I started off stamping the cute image in the center of the card. I also used an alphabet set to stamp the sentiment "COFFEE?!" directly below the image. Then I colored in the cup of coffee and the donut with alcohol markers and embellished the frosting of the donut with clear drying, shimmery glue.

To include a little bit more color I chose solid circle stamps in different sizes and stamped them in three different green colors on my white panel. I also used a larger outline circle stamp and stamped it on the coffee and donut image so it looks like a frame.

To finish my card I die cut the white panel with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to a slightly larger green piece of cardstock. Everything was then adhered to a top-folded note card.

Week of Coffee/Tea and Donuts Day 3

I Heart Coffee!

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today, I've got an I heart coffee [and donut] card for you!  I absolutely cannot function without my morning coffee!  LOL!  What about you?  Are you a coffee drinker or a tea lover?

To make my card:  First, I stamped the D186 coffee and donut stamp on white cardstock with Memento ink.  I also stamped the "I heart" and "coffee" stamps from the CRM02 cafe clear stamp set right beneath my image.  I colored in the coffee cup and donut with markers.  Then, I die cut the stamped image with first a rectangle die, and then a stitched tab die at the top.  I also die cut a piece of red cardstock with a rectangle die and the stitched tab die.  I wanted to emphasize the heart theme, so I pulled out a tiny heart stencil, some texture paste, and my palette knife to create a fun textured background on the red cardstock.  While I set that aside to dry, I prepared my card base.  I added a piece of craft cardstock onto the white card base.  Then I adhered the red heart piece, and then the coffee stamped piece with some foam tape.  To finish off my card, I added a piece of twine tied into a bow, and some clear sequins.

I really hope you like my card!  Don't you feel like you need to go out and get a yummy donut to go with your coffee?!!!
