With All My Heart
10:30 AM
Hello and welcome!
I know that when most of us think of umbrellas, we think of rain and unpleasant weather. Today I hope I'll have you thinking of umbrellas in a new way. For this card I flipped the Large Open Umbrella over and made it more of a decoration rather than a focal point. One of my favorite techniques these days is paper piecing, which is what I did on the umbrella. I love how it can use up those little scraps of paper and also add a "wow" factor to a card!
Did you notice that fun grass? Wendy was the first person to bring this technique to DeNami and we love it so, so much. What I really like about it is how it adds so much dimension to a card! Oh yes, and let's not forget that it's super easy to do! (Always a plus!)
Before I close, I wanted to mention that I saw this super cute card featuring our umbrellas over on Lisa's blog. Exact same stamp as the one I used with a whole different result! Super fun! Be sure to leave her some love! (For those new bloggers: yes, we DO notice projects that feature our stamps!)
Be sure to check back tomorrow! We will have the first DeNami product spotlight along with some fun projects- you won't want to miss it!
Stamps: Teeny Swiss Dot, With All My Heart, Rosebud Trio, Large Open Umbrella
Cardstock: Brown Kraft, White, Chocolate Brown
Ink: Vintage Sepia
Other: Quickie Glue Pen, Extra Fine Glitter

nice card Paulina! i like the umbrella like this too--one of my favorite stamps in the new release :D
Such a pretty card, Paulina! I love the way you paper pieced and positioned the umbrella! And that grass technique looks amazing---definitely going to give that a try!! Thanks so much, too, for pointing out my umbrella card!!!! So super sweet of you!
Oh this is such a pretty card.
