Interview with Laurie

We are having so much fun bringing an interview with each of our design team members! This week, we are excited to be learning more about Laurie!

How did you hear about DeNami Design?

I heard about DeNami Design from one of the DeNami designers, Wendy Elliot. She responded so kindly to one of my comments on her blog and we began emailing each other. She mentioned that she was a designer for DeNami and gave me their website information and, well...the rest is history! Thanks Wendy!!!!

How long have you been stamping?

I have been stamping since 1997. I was fortunate enough to be able to help start a scrapbook and rubber stamp store in my hometown. I worked as a buyer and an instructor. It was the best job in the world.

How would you describe your stamping style?

Clean and colorful.

What is your favorite color combination to use on your projects?

My favorite color combos tend to change with the season but currently I love Berry Sorbet, chocolate and Ripe Avocado.

If you had to choose one go-to stamp, what would it be?

Well, since I am a daisy lover, I would have to say the Large and Small Daisy Blossoms. (Is anyone surprised?)

What is your favorite embellishment?

Ribbon, ribbon and more ribbon.

How many cards do you create per week?

On a good week about one a day or seven per week. I wish I had time to do many more though.

Where do you get inspiration for your projects?

Everywhere! I got the inspiration for the DeNami Featured Project this week in the cookie aisle at Wal-Mart. I ran across a box of Barnum's Animal Crackers and thought this would be a great way to use the Safari Animal stamp set and my safari themed party favor was born.

What is your favorite part of blogging?

My favorite part of blogging would have to be getting to know so many kind, creative souls that inspire me daily The friendship that I am making are a blessing to my life.

Any tips for new stampers?

Get involved with manufacturers (like DeNami) on their blogs. Participate in their challenges and blog hops. You will learn lots and have SO much fun in the process.
