Decorative Filigree Beauties

Happy Friday!

Today I have a post that features three stunning cards by DT member, Rebeka. You may recognize the hot pink card, it was her submission for the Color Challenge #4. Recently she had a need for some birthday cards and she did slight variations on this card- let's take a peek.....

For your friends or relatives who enjoy bold colors, this is the perfect one for them. The Red, Black and White combo is so striking! Our Ruby Red glitter coordinates with our red cardstock so well; plus it's perfect for the upcoming holiday season! Add touches of Onyx glitter to the stripes, plus some Red rhinestones and you have the perfect finishing touches.

I'm not the biggest fan of purple, but I truly do love our new Amethyst cardstock. It coordinates well with so many things, inluding our Amethyst glitter! To add just a bit more sparkle, she added the Black rhinestones to the filigree- SUPER pretty.

Only four stamps were needed for these cards, but as you can see, the possibilities are endless. I can see using this combo in green, blue or even pastels. Below are the stamps used:

Sold Decorative Crest
Medium Birthday Circle
Decorative Flourish
Three Line Border

Wasn't it fun to see different variation of this card design? This is such a great card layout and can be used for all sorts of occasions. If you create something with this layout, feel free to leave your blog link in your comment- we'd love to check it out!

In closing here is the QOTD..... Have a great weekend, see you on Monday!

no go to layout but I do tend to keep them simple

No go-to card layout. I just let my imagination go wild, sometimes they're simmply while other are more complex.

I have lots of go to card layouts, but if I use them or not is an entirely different story. Most of the time it is just a starting point for me and then I end up doing my own thing.

Yes, I do have go to layouts. Sometimes I don't even have to change the colors...only the sentiment. If I need a card in a hurry this system works great for me. I almost always use one particular layout and design for sympathy cards.

I don't think I have specific "go to" layouts. Every time I make a card, I start from scratch, finding inspiration in my products (stamps, paper, etc.) and the motivation for the card (recipient and/or contest).
