2011 Outer Space Sneak Peek

Hello there!

For quite some time, we have wanted to release some more "boy" images. I personally have a hard time creating cards for boys, and I know that many others do as well. To say that I was ecstatic about these designs would be an understatement! There are so many fun designs, and they coordinate so well together!

For this sneak peek, I called upon Wendy and Lisa to create outer space cards. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. Talk about cards out of this world! (Sorry I couldn't resist) :) Let's get started, shall we?

Wendy got a good giggle out of me on this card! She pulled out the new Space Chickie and created the most beautiful glittery planet ever! To finish off the scene, she added the shooting star from the Outer Space stamp set, and added the Rocketship with the Steam Curl adding a nice extra element. This card would be the perfect little boy party invite!

How fun and adorable is this card?! I am in love with that bright background! Wendy used the Outer Space stamp set, along with the Friendly Robot for this happy card. Even though I'm very much a girlie girl, I can't get enough of the robot! This cute design will surely bring a smile to all who receive a card with this design.

For Lisa's first card, she used the Rocketship, along with the Outer Space stamp set. This little scene is so perfect! Her choices of colors were spot on! Did you notice that little face peeking out from the window? I think that would be what I looked like if I were to ever go in a rocketship! :)

This card truly shows how fun Lisa's personality is! Never in a million years would I have thought to pair up the Mini Cupcake and Thought Bubble with the Friendly Robot. This card proves that sometimes white space on a card can be perfect! To finish off the card, Lisa stamped the ZigZag Stitch Border in several colors then added a computer generated sentiment. So fun!

Lisa made my jaw drop with this simple beauty. I cannot get over how precious this sweet card is! She used the Outer Space stamp set, along with an older classic, the Small Baby Script. For the edge, she hand drew some faux stitches- the perfect finishing touch. Lisa has two other DARLING cards that go along with this card- be sure to visit her blog for those!

I hope that you got a small glimpse into how fun these stamps truly are. I must forewarn you, there are other images that go with this collection as well. So much goodness, how will you decide?

Tomorrow is the full reveal, along with the chance to win some of these new stamps! I know I love it when my friends let me know of fun giveaways, so be sure to pass along the news!

Only TWO days left until the release! What's on your list so far? Is there a particular card that really stood out to you during these sneak peeks? Let us know!

2011 Under the Sea Sneak Peeks

Hello and welcome!

Yesterday I had a sweet and girlie blog post- today I have fun one that takes us under the sea! As many have come to know, Nami (owner/ designer) has a way of making animals (of all sorts) look friendly and cheery. These sea creatures are no exception!

When I was choosing who to feature for this sneak peek, I knew right away that Ayana and Michele would be my picks. They do such a fabulous job with colors, and I had a feeling their personalities would shine in this collection. :)

I literally laughed out loud when I saw this card. Only Michele could come up with something so hilarious, but still look absolutely adorable! She used the new Medium Round Bowl, Cuddly Cats stamp set and Under the Sea stamp set. This card would be great for your friends that have a quirky sense of humor- I can guarantee you that they don't have anything like this on a card rack! :)

Michele's personality comes out again in this hilarious card. The way she incorporated the new Crab and Sea Friends stamp set was pure genius! Did you know you can get your own "sand" by tearing some kraft cardstock? So easy to do, but the look is unmatched by any tool out there!

I find this adorable card irresistible. She stamped the Whale on pink cardstock, then for her partner, she used a sheet of acetate to create a mirrored image. Such a neat idea- one that I want to try now! To create the waves, Michele used the Double Embossed border punch; the pretties waves I've ever seen! :)

I find this little card adorable. Ayana did an awesome job letting the Medium Round Bowl and Sea Friends stamp set really shine. How fun are these colors? Also, take a look at those Tangerine Boutique Button accents! Love it!

I am so impressed by the amazing, vibrant colors on this card by Ayana. I just love the way she did the fabulous Copic sharing on the Whale. It's so perfect! Also, did you notice the new sentiment? The Get Whale Soon coordinates so well with this new stamp!

Ayana brought yet another bright and happy card. Here you can see the new Octopus- doesn't it make a fabulous focal point? The added googly eyes are too fun! For the background, there is a light pattern using the new Wavy Dots. This stamp is great with all of the sea creatures, but as you can see, it makes a great background as well!

I couldn't resist bringing out the adorable new Whale. He is such a fun design, and it's great for adults and kids alike! I went with a fairly simple design, but added some fun rhinestone and scallop elements. How great would it be to receive this card when you're not feeling well?

I knew right when I saw the Sea Friends stamp set, it'd make a super fun background. I love how all the designs in the set work together so well! For my focal point, I used the Octopus and went to town with my Copics. This little critter was so fun to color, but he's also can be paper pieced!

How fun were these cards? I had such a great time viewing each and every one of these cards- I hope that you did too! Did you see some designs that you must have? If so, which ones? So far we have seen some pretty Valentine cards and some happy, vibrant Under the Sea cards. Tomorrow the wonderful Wendy and Lisa have some cards that are "out of this world"- you will definitely want to be sure you come back for them!

Be sure to head to the DT blogs for the details of their cards. They'll have more details of the cards, plus you can leave them some blog love there!

I will see you tomorrow! Have a great rest of your Wednesday!

2011 Valentine Sneak Peeks

Good morning!

It's time for the first day of card sneak peeks by the design team! In the new release (premiering on January 1st) we have 10 brand new Valentine/ wedding images that are truly stunning. We have sentiments, background builders, and of course, lots of pretty hearts!

For today's sneak peeks, the lovely Andrea and Laurie have brought out some spectacular cards. These ladies have shown how versatile these images are, and showcases how sometimes less is more! Let's get started......

Andrea kicks off these sneak peeks with a simple stunner. Who knew that just TWO stamps (Love Script and Heart Border) could be so beautiful? I love how she was able to bring together bright and pastel colors into this sweet and simple card.

When I think of Valentine's Day, I often think of bright colors. However, Andrea has now changed my thought process! I simply adore the new Teeny Heart Background, and this card shows how this stamp can take the spotlight. To create the fun letters, she used some chipboard in addition to the new Small Heart Outline!

This card showcases THREE new stamps/ sets- isn't it grand to see how they work together so well? Andrea touched my heart with this yummy creation. I adore the way she used the Love Sentiments stamp set on top of the Heart stamp set!

Laurie has created a card that truly reflects how less is more. She started with the Small Scallop Heart, then layered on the Small Heart Outline. Did you notice those tiny hearts? Yes, that's the Teeny Heart Background again! To finish off this beauty, she stamped the Happy Valentine's Day on the edge of the card- absolute perfection!

For this collection, we made a conscious effort to release a new Mimi image. The new Sweetheart Mimi is perfect for all sorts of occasions. For this card, Laurie went the route of a Valentine card. She once again brought out the Happy Valentine's Day and Teeny Heart Background- so many great ways to use these stamps!

Last, but certainly not least, Laurie brought out the new Puppy Love Circle. We know how many of you love our puppies! This stamp will be the perfect addition to all of our puppy items. My favorite part about this stamp? With it being such a great focal point, there isn't a whole lot needed to create a cute card!

We hope that you are as excited about this Valentine collection as we are! Valentine's Day is such a great way to show those around you that you love and appreciate them. I know that I was greatly inspired by these cards- I hope that you were too! What was your favorite stamp featured? Are you already starting to write items on your wish list?

Tomorrow we'll have sneak peeks of some sea creatures that will put a smile on anyone's face. We have Ayana and Michele, along with myself, with some fun new cards-I can't wait for you to see what they created! We will see you back on the blog tomorrow morning!

Video Sneak Peeks

Happy Monday to you all!

I am beyond thrilled that you have joined us today. We are in the week of our sneak peeks for a new collection, which only happens twice a year! This release, we have 54 brand new images- with themes varying from Valentine's Day to backgrounds to some other ones that you'll see soon. :)

Over the past few months, we have received numerous emails and requests at shows for certain designs. One of the big ones: CATS! In our last release, we came out with the adorable Playful Puppies set. Shortly after it premiered, we got many requests for cats "DeNami style". We are so thrilled that we were able to fulfill these requests! You'll see more in the video below......

In addition to new stamps, we have some new, fun accessories! I personally am a huge fan of grosgrain ribbon, so I'm excited that we have added four new colors to the line-up. In addition to ribbons, we have three new cardstocks! After scouring high and low, we have found three gorgeous pastel colors that we are excited to be releasing. In the video below, you'll see a few other new additions that have been in the works for some time.

We have three days (Tuesday- Thursday) packed with stunning cards by the NEW design team. These ladies are so amazing- I cannot wait until you see their yummy creations! Each morning, you'll want to grab yourself a cup of tea (or coffee) and visit the blog; there is going to be LOTS packed into the posts. In addition, the ladies will have descriptions and supply lists of their cards on their blogs.

We cannot wait to have you join us tomorrow! Thanks so much for stopping by the DeNami blog!

Announcing the NEW DT....

Happy Monday to you!

It is truly a happy Monday for us- we FINALLY get to announce our new design team! If you know me, you know that I am horrible at keeping secrets. Let me tell you, keeping these amazing girls a secret was a HUGE task. I honestly was counting the days until I could make the announcement!

As you'll see below, we have three familiar names, but we also have three new ones. I am so excited about each and every one of these team members. These ladies individually have so much talent, but bring them altogether and you have a team that is beyond amazing. I have many things planned for the DeNami blog this upcoming year, and I couldn't dream of a better team to work with.

I am so honored to now reveal our new design team.....

I don't think I even need to re-introduce this girlie. You all have come to recognize and LOVE Ayana's beautiful work. We "found" her when she was a blog newbie, and now her work is seen worldwide! Her bubbly personality reflects in her blog posts AND her creations!

I am beyond excited that Michele is returning to the design team! I have had the great pleasure of getting to know her, and she truly is a gem. She never ceases to amaze me with her beautiful cards and projects. She always sends me the greatest ideas- many of them will be implemented here on the blog in the new year!

Oh goodness, where to start with Wendy? She has become an active member of the DeNami family. From being one of our class instructors, to helping design the card kits, to suggesting new products and providing many ideas, she is definitely considered one of the "DeNami girls". She has such a great eye for colors; I always love seeing what new color combinations she creates!

There was no question in my mind that Lisa should be asked to join our design team. I can't tell you how many times she has blown me away with her DeNami challenge and blog hop creations. I know Lisa will continue to amaze us with her stunning and innovative ideas, and I can't wait to see what she'll be showing us these next six months!

When I was first considered who to ask to join the DeNami team, I had Laurie at the top of the list. Each and every time I have visited her blog, I have been amazed by her beautiful cards (and amazing pictures!). She never ceases to inspire me with her creations, and I know that she'll provide a wealth of inspiration to all of you.

I recently stumbled across Andrea's amazing blog and was completely awestruck at all of her beautiful cards. After seeing her work, I *had* to have her on our team. I was beyond ecstatic when she accepted! The details on her creations are amazing, and she also has a way with beautiful color combos. I can't wait to see what DeNami creations she has in store for us!

Fondest Farewells

Hello there!

Today I have a bittersweet post to share. With the new year right around the corner, this means our current design team term is completed.

For those who have followed our blog for quite some time, you know that this was our very FIRST design team. I had the best time getting to know each of these ladies; each of them did such a wonderful job representing our company. With that being said, I thought it'd be fun to showcase a few of their previous creations.

Laurie is one of the sweetest people you will ever chat with. Her kind words in both her emails and blog posts are just a small reflection of how lovely she truly is. I had the special privilege of working with at CHA in the Summer- her warm personality and sweet smile were such a joy to work with! I know that she is quite busy with work these days, but I truly hope she will be able to still create- her creations are truly inspiring!

JoAnn is a joy giver, and her cards and blog posts reflect that fact. I was constantly amazed at Jo's clean and simple cards. From Day #1, she featured the Mimi images, and each time she would feature one, her coloring would blow me away. Who knew that stamped images could come to life?! JoAnn is currently in the midst of a move, but I know that when life settles down, she will be back to creating more beautiful cards!

Jenny was the first design team member that we chose. Since the beginning, she has had a distinct style that her followers have come to love. One of the main things that stick out in her cards- all of the detail she puts into them! From paper piercing to dry embossing to adding eyelets, each of her creations have so much time and love put into them. Even though we are sad to see her leave, we know that she will continue to have many crafty creations on her blog.....

Oh, where to start with, sweet Rebeka. Well, I first must let you all know that even though she is not going to be an "official" DeNami DT member, her name will still pop on the blog quite often. In between being our head graphic designer, a class instructor and my office mate, she is still very much a part of the DeNami family. You will continue to see her beautiful creations on this blog, just in other aspects. Almost all of our beautiful challenge, blog hop, featured product graphics (and much, much more) are done by Rebeka, so you will continue to "see" her work. :)

I have loved working with each and every one of these girls, and know that whatever crafty dreams they set their minds to, they'll be able to achieve.

With that being said, you may have noticed a few names not on this list, one of them being myself. It is with a sad heart that I am stepping down as a design team member for this term. This upcoming year, I'm taking on quite a few more responsibilities here at DeNami. I will continue to post my cards on this blog when there aren't challenges and product spotlights, so you will still see my work often. In 2011, I have so many things planned for the DeNami blog and DeNami Facebook page, you most likely won't even miss me! :)

For the others not listed today, be sure to check back on Monday. Don't worry....not EVERYONE is leaving us....we do have a few that are staying. In addition, we're bringing in three new gals that have done amazing things with our stamps. You won't want to miss the announcement!

Thanks so much for stopping and reading this LONG blog post! I will see you back on Monday! Have a fabulous weekend.

Product Challenge #5- Fabulous 3 Spotlight

Hello there!

It's that time again....time to announce the Fabulous 3 Spotlight! I must say, that this was one of my FAVORITE challenge collections to browse through. There were so many beautiful entries, and I loved seeing the various paper punches used! A few ladies incorporated  a couple other challenges into their cards, which was another highlight. I love it when you can mix challenges together!

Today, we have three stunning Christmas cards in the spotlight- that was totally a coincidence! However, with Christmas being a mere 9 days away, I think it was meant to be. :)

(Be sure to click the images to see the complete card!)

I want to say a big THANK YOU to all who participated in our blog challenges this past year. We had so much fun getting to know all of you, and see your stunning creations. We will be having more challenges in 2011- the first one will be on January 17th!

I will be back tomorrow with some DT news. We hope you'll visit us then!
