Ink Distressing

Hello there,

Today's card is a little treasure I found while going through one of the bags Nami brought back from a show. Just in case you are wondering what this means exactly----Nami and Gary (the owners) travel to various shows across the country during the year. During their shows, Nami demonstrates various techniques and products, which leads to lots of stunning cards and projects. Some of our readers aren't able to attend these shows, or forgot to bring a camera, so we do our best to post the most popular ones to our blog/ website.

Okay, now getting back to the card.... I am loving the purple ink distressing Nami did on the focal point. It is subtle, yet really warms up the card. She used the Spring Pansy Versamagic, which we just started carrying on our website. It's a pretty shade of purple, and also happens to work perfectly with our Lavender cardstock.

If you haven't ink distressed before, it's really quite easy. You can use sponges or brushes on your ink pads, and then apply them to your desired papers. However, on a light color like this, you can actually use your ink pad and put it directly on your paper without any tools needed!

I hope you'll give this ink distressing look a try with your DeNami stamps! If you do, I'd love for you to post your card to the DeNami Facebook page, or leave us a comment with your blog link.I'm always excited to see your new DeNami creations!

I'll see you all tomorrow!
