Chickie Couture #2

Hello, DeNami friends!

It's Lisa P, and I'm back with a second edition of Chickie Couture!!! As many of you know my husband and I just recently spent five months in New Zealand with side trips to Australia and Bora Bora! Such an amazing part of the world!!! It was an INCREDIBLE journey full of experiences we'll treasure for a lifetime!!! My chickies for this month's Chickie Couture feature were inspired by some of our adventures!

First up...snorkeling chickie!!!

Anyone else out there LOVE to snorkel?!?! It's so much fun, and I find it completely fascinating!!! The colors, the sounds, the ocean current, the coral, the sea creatures, the plants----it's a feast for the senses!

I created snorkeling chickie by first stamping the Large Chickie onto light yellow cardstock. Then, I placed a piece of printer paper over top. Using the underlying chickie image as a guide, I drew the snorkel mask, snorkel, and flippers onto the printer paper. I cut these pieces out and used them as templates to create my colored cardstock pieces. Once my chickie was assembled, I used several other DeNami Design images (see supply list below) to create an underwater scene for him to snorkel in! Here, I used him on a card, but I think he'd also be super cute on a luggage tag----especially if you're headed somewhere tropical!!

NOT LISTED: marigold cardstock, bright blue ink, circles edger punch, craft knife, copic markers, Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper, Black Copic Multiliner pen, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig, Spica Glitter Pen,

Next up...paddle boarding chickie!

I tried out standing paddle boarding for the first time in Bora Bora and fell in love!!! It's awesome and a great workout too! The board is from the Surfboard Trio. I hand-drew the paddle on brown kraft cardstock. You could also opt to leave the paddle off and create a surfing chickie instead! FUN! (Although I'd make my waves seriously bigger for that activity! HA!)

NOT LISTED: marigold cardstock, bright blue ink, circle die cuts , Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper, Black Copic Multiliner pen, Stamp-A-Ma-Jig

Well, that wraps up my second edition of Chickie Couture!!! I hope you're enjoying this feature as much as I am!!!

Hop on over to my blog, Bellalistonia, and leave a comment for a chance to win a Large Chickie Stamp!!!  And...I just might have some photos over there from our trip too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Lisa P.
