Monster Love Valentines
3:00 AM
Hi Friends,
Our DT, Lisa, has been having fun creating a monster sized Valentines cards. What a great job she did with all the colors, layers and cuteness.
Today, She is sharing how to create your own card collection that you can send out in time for Valentine's Day. Enjoy!

Hello! Lisa P here, and today I’m sharing a super sweet and simple set of Valentines I made using DeNami Design’s brand new clear stamp set, CR02 Monster Love. The images and sentiments in this set are totally ADORABLE! I fell head over heels in love with them the first moment I saw them! I kept this project very simple by using a single stamp set and a single layout and just changing up the images, sentiments, and papers for each to get a nice variety of cards.

I had so much fun putting these Valentines together and can’t wait to mail
them off to friends and family. Here’s my step-by-step process:
Step 1: Die-cut 5 pinked rectangles, 5 pinked flags, and 5 hearts from
assorted patterned papers. Cut 5 squares (2.5” x 2.5”) from assorted patterned
papers. (Note: This is a great project for using up some of those patterned
paper scraps that are sitting in your stash. And keep in mind you can use any
shaped dies for the layers. These just happen to be the ones I chose for this
particular project. No dies? No problem. You can use punches or basic rectangles
and squares. No patterned paper? No problem. You can use a variety of colored
cardstocks, and it will still look great.)
Step 2: Die-cut 5 rectangles from white cardstock. Stamp a different
monster image and the word “monster” onto each rectangle. Color the images with
markers. Die-cut some stitching lines at the bottom of each panel. Add a touch
of sparkle with some glitter. (Note: I added some hand-drawn arms and stamped
some hearts for hands onto my first monster to make it look like he was reaching
out for a “monster hug.”)
Step 3: Stamp some of the flags with “Love” and some with “Hugs.” Add a
touch of color with markers. Assemble cards as shown below.
Today’s post focused on Valentines, but this stamp set would also be great
for creating lunchbox notes for your kiddos, encouragement cards, and get well
cards. I’ll be sure to share some examples of those ideas in the near
future.
I hope you enjoyed this post and feel inspired to get crafty!
Thanks for stopping by!
