Mother's Day Floral Card
3:30 AM
Hi DeNami friends,
On today's blogpost, DT Lisa P will be sharing a simple and fun one layer card. You can easily change out the color scheme or even choose leaves or blossoms instead of the flower shown. You can also do the other flowers from the same collection to create a series of cards to give as gifts.
Notice how she stamps the flowers at quarter turns to create movement and make it look seamless. She also went of the page so make it look more natural and artistic.
Experiment with the different elements and colors and you can get a look that varies depending on your taste or the recipient's.
You can also stamp a few extra ones on a separate cardstock and cut them out and pop them up with foam mounting tape for dimension. So many options with this card.
Read below what she did:
Hi there, DeNami friends! It’s Lisa P. here. For those of us in the United States, Mother’s Day is right around the corner (May 10th). So, today I’m sharing an idea for a simple yet elegant Mother’s Day card using just a few basic crafting supplies. You could easily use this same design to create cards for just about any occasion---just change up the sentiment and the image. DeNami Design has LOTS of small images that would work perfectly for this layout.

I cut a 4” x 5 1/4” panel from white cardstock and stamped the CL-F212
Happy Mother’s Day sentiment about 1 1/4” down from the top. Don’t you just LOVE
that font?!?! So whimsical and sweet! I then repeatedly stamped the D128 Elegant
Floral Blossom image (turning it in different directions) to fill in the area
below the sentiment. I added a touch of color to the blossoms with markers and a
bit of sparkle with a glitter pen. To finish, I matted the panel with a black
cardstock panel and adhered it to a white cardstock base. Here’s a closer
look:
I had so much fun making this card!!! And I love that it’s completely flat,
which means no extra postage will be required to mail it.
Do you make cards for Mother’s Day? We’d love to see your creations!
Thanks for visiting!
