Whimsical Cityscapes Christmas Card Inspiration
4:00 AM
Inspired by Bath and Body Works Holiday Traditions Lotion...
Hi Friends,
The Christmas season is in full swing and we are busy at DeNami working on the upcoming season. We can't wait to share with you in the new year!
Since Christmas is my favorite season, I love to relish every aspect of it! From gift making, to gift buying and gift wrapping. Then there's the parties, the plays, musicals and treats. Oh, how I love it all!
As I go around, I am inspired by so many things like color combinations to themes. From craft creations to packaging ideas! Today, Lisa shares how she was inspired by a pretty Bath and Body Works product. I love the colors and the inspiration. I think Lisa did a wonderful job capturing the feel of the packaging and theme.
Follow along to see what she did to create this.

Hey there! It’s Lisa P. Today I’m sharing a Christmas card that features the recently released CL-K92 Whimsical Cityscape and CL-G168 Arched Merry Christmas.
This card was inspired by a holiday lotion bottle from Bath & Body Works. Check it out:
I
fell in love with that festive scene as soon as I saw it and knew I
wanted to try to create something similar for a holiday card! (And as a
bonus side note---the lotion inside the bottle smells amazing---I’d
recommend it!)
I
stamped the cityscape and trees in white pigment ink, sprinkled them
with white embossing powder, and heat embossed them. Then, I used a bright pink marker and a water brush to water color over the
embossing. This was my first attempt at this technique, and I’m excited
to continue practicing it. After the water coloring was dry, I stamped
the sentiment in black ink and added a touch of yellow to the windows. I
punched out five pine branches from two shades of green cardstock,
attached them to the top of the panel and added some “snow” to them with
a white gel pen.
I
matted the panel to a die-cut piece of silver glitter paper. LOVE the
sparkle! Then I matted that to a piece of magenta cardstock and attached
it to a blank rustic white card base.
To finish, I added some enamel dots and a twine bow.
I hope you like my creation for today! Thanks so much for visiting!
