Monster Beach Party (Day 2)

Hi Friends,

Today is Day 2 of Lisa P's Monster Beach Party post. If you missed yesterday's post with the cupcakes, tags and invitations, check it out HERE.

Lisa continues today with the treat bags, decorations and the party collection. What an amazing party this is!

She continues:

I always love creating treat bags, so I couldn’t resist whipping up some for this beach-themed party:

I cut a circle into the front of the glassine bag. I die-cut a slightly larger circle from clear plastic and adhered it inside. Then, I used two circle dies to die-cut a circular frame from charcoal cardstock to adhere to the front. I die-cut some circles from white cardstock, stamped my images, and added color with markers. I layered the stamped circles with slightly larger aquamarine circles and some die-cut tags (to write each guest’s name on). I filled the bags with Goldfish crackers and tied them closed with baker’s twine. Here’s a look at the finished treat bag:

These were lots of fun to make!

For my final party detail, I made some simple straw toppers to adorn these adorable polka dotted straws I found at Target:

I die-cut flags from white cardstock, stamped the images, colored them with markers and used a super strong adhesive to wrap the flags around the straws. Simple but super duper cute!!!

And here’s a look at the entire ensemble (minus the cupcakes----those mysteriously vanished before I had the opportunity to take this photo----HA!):

So, what do you think?!?! I hope you like my creations for today and feel inspired to give some of these ideas a try!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fantastic day!

Monster Beach Party (Part 1)

Hi Friends,

What a treat I have for you!! DT Lisa P shared her amazing project and it was so good that I broke it up into 2 posts. You will need to stay tuned tomorrow to see Day 2 of this Monster Beach Party post.

There is nothing better than having not just a party, but a Monster Beach Party, full of colorful invites, decorations and party favors. Lisa covered them all.

~~~
Hello, crafty friends! It’s Lisa P, and I’m here today with a party idea that was inspired by DeNami Design’s newly released Monster Beach Party stamp. As soon as I saw this stamp the summertime party ideas started flowing. Here’s what I came up with:
First up: invitations.
The invitations feature the new CL-M84 Monster Beach Party as well as the previously released F151 You’re Invited Block and B84 Sand. I kept the design simple so they would be easy to mass produce. The inside contains the party details.
Next: A party isn’t a party without cupcakes, right?!?! So, how about some cute cupcake toppers?!?!
The cupcake toppers feature two new images: CL-E184 Hula Monster and CL-E187 Chillin’ Monster. Fun! I die-cut circles from white cardstock, stamped the images onto the circles and added color with markers. Then, I die-cut scalloped circles (two for each topper). I adhered the stamped circle to the center of the scalloped circle, placed a toothpick behind it, and adhered the second scalloped circle as a backing. Super easy and an adorable way to decorate your party cupcakes!
I found some colorful sand buckets in the dollar section at Target, and thought they’d make great party favors! You could even fill each bucket with summer-themed items like beach balls, squirt toys, hats, etc. To decorate the sand buckets I made some tags:
And here’s how the tag looks once tied on to the bucket:
I made the tags using PPPD05 Stitched Duo 1 Dies from Pretty Pink Posh. Then, I decorated them with two previously released images: G136 Sand Castle and D135 Crab. I finished them off with a strip of patterned paper and some baker’s twine to tie them onto the buckets.
