Lisa's Favorite Things
3:00 AM
Happy Friday to you!
Hasn't the design team blown you away this week? Each and every time they upload their cards, my jaw drops. They all have such unique styles and color combinations, but one thing they all share: they all ROCK DeNami stamps! Couldn't be more thrilled and proud to have them on our team.
I hope that you all have been enjoying the "Favorite Things" features! I know I personally love seeing each of the DT's choices, and then also seeing the cards they have created using some of their picks! Today I have the sweet Lisa's picks.....
1) Large Chickie- I have been known to dress this little guy/girl up for a variety of occasions! A leprechaun hat and shamrock for St. Patrick's Day, a diaper and bottle to welcome a new baby, a tie for Father's Day, a crown and eyelashes for a little princess birthday party---the possibilities are endless! And trust me...you will see Chickie in many more outfits on my blog in the near future!
2) Large Open Umbrella- I love this image because it's so whimsical and cute! It's perfect for paper piecing, which is one of my favorite techniques, or for coloring! It looks fabulous with a coat of Crystal Lacquer too! You can use it as a focal point or to create a background! You can jazz it up with glitter or by adhering rhinestones or pom-poms to the tips!
3) Large Winter Tree- The name of this tree may be Large Winter Tree, but with the help of the DeNami Design Petit Fours stamp sets you can really decorate this tree for any season or occasion! For example, the newly released Spring Chicks Stamp Set and Elegant Floral Stamp Set would be perfect for decorating a spring tree! And wouldn't the little eggs from the Easter Stamp Set look darling hanging from the branches of the tree for Easter?!?! And how about an apple tree for a special teacher using the Apples and Pears Stamp Set?!?!
4) Harlequin Border- This stamp creates really fun borders and backgrounds! I recently paired it up with the Stitched Border to make an argyle pattern and loved the results! It's also fun to dress up this pattern with glitter or by adding pearls or rhinestones or brads to the points of the diamonds!
5) Three Line Border- This stamp is so versatile that I find myself reaching for it again and again! It's perfect for creating stripes, plaids, and checkers! It looks great stamped in a single color or in multiple colors! You can glitter it up or leave it plain!
6) Everyday Greetings set- This is such a handy set to have because it includes sentiments that I use so frequently on cards and tags! Plus the fonts are absolutely ADORABLE!
7) Hearts set- The moment I saw this set my mind was racing with ideas about different ways to use it! I recently created a little flower by stamping the polka dot heart 4 times to create the petals of the flower and placing a brad in the center. My flower was bright pink, but if you used green ink instead it would make a fantastic shamrock for St. Patrick's Day! The hearts are also perfect for wedding cards and look so stunning when heat embossed in any color! They're also ideal for creating backgrounds or for layering with the Small Scallop Heart.
Wowee, so many great picks! I have to say, that Lisa chose some of our most popular stamps, so it's evident that YOU all love these ones too! Be sure to head over to Lisa's blog to see a couple projects with these images and also see how she keeps track of her DeNami stamps!
I hope you all have a GREAT weekend. If you haven't already, be sure to check out the current DeNami challenge- we'd LOVE for you to join along in the fun!
