Elegant Flourishes
Hello!
Do we have any ribbon fans reading? You may know that I'm a huge fan of ribbons. They add so much to a card and project, and let's not forget all the varieties! There are dozens of different shades, widths, textures- each of them have a different feel and look that puts the finishing touch on your crafting project. My all time favorite: grosgrain ribbon. I love what it brings to my cards and it's so easy to create bows with them!
My card today showcases not only a bow, but also a pleated ribbon technique towards the bottom. This technique was all over blog land a few years ago, but I haven't seen it around recently. I still love how it looks- thinking I should bring it back again. :)

My favorite way to use ribbon (grosgrain being my fave too)is making bows and "dividing lines" on my cards. I can't resist a big yummy bow!!

Grosgrain ribbon makes the BEST bows! That's my favorite to do. But I'm seeing A LOT of knotted ribbon on cards, might give that a try too ;)
Elegant is my favorite style & you've nailed it here! Love your design, the sparkle & of course, the ribbon! I must have 1000 yds of ribbon, so yes, I love it! Usually I just make bows, but I've always liked pleated ribbon & never got good at it. I'm going to check the video & try again--thank you!

I LOVE ribbon!!! I love making bows with satin ribbon, knots with twill ribbon and double or I call them butterfly bows with seam binding. I don't have any grosgrain ribbon...I'll have to pick some up from DeNami I think ;)
