Candy Corn Button Boutique

Hello DeNami friends, Lisa E. here today bringing you my October installment of Button Boutique. Any candy corn fans out there? If so, I think you'll like this month's project!

Wouldn't a basket or bowl full of these be a cute decoration!  I cut two pieces of muslin using a pattern that I drew. Next up I stitched and stuffed it. Using Tombow markers I colored off a section of orange and one of yellow. Then I glued on the buttons. The three colors I've used come from the DeNami Boutique Button collections of White, Tangerine, Harvest and Halloween. A cute sentiment tag tied on with twine is all this needs!

For this complimenting candy corn card I created a shaped template. A light pencil line let me line up the tiny candy corn stamp ~ so cute! After coloring them in with markers, I trimmed along the outer edge. For the card base I wrapped the twine around three times, then spread it out. This reminds me of a web! Next I stamped more candies on the diagonal and finally added the focal piece with foam tape. To the center of the focal panel I added a smaller orange candy shape with the center punched out. My sentiment was popped up with foam tape in that opening. And finally I added the yellow and white buttons.

Don't they make a cute pair!

Now how about another button give-a-way!!! Anyone interested in this jar of assorted DeNami buttons? One random winner will be chosen from the comments on this post on my personal blog, My Paper Tales.  You have until midnight on Sunday October 27th. The winner will be posted there on Monday October 28th. Please be sure I have a way to contact you or I might have to draw another winner! Thanks for popping in and have a great day.

NOT LISTED: muslin, fiber fill, thread, fabric glue, white and orange cardstock
