Fishing Chickie Tag
3:00 AM
Hello DeNami friends, Lisa E. here today sharing an easy masculine tag. This would be great for Father's Day (a day or two late, or maybe next year!) even a birthday!
First I added a piece of decorative paper to the tag. Next I cut a strip of Orange Stripes Washi Tape length wise. I didn't cut it in the center, I wanted one strip to be wider than the other. These were added at the top and bottom of the decorative paper. The To: From: sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
After die cutting a piece of adhesive cork, it was stamped with the Small Dot Square Frame then affixed to the tag. I stamped colored and punched out the Fishing Chickie then
added him to the cork piece with foam tape. Using a regular hand hole
punch, I punched three cork dots to add to the tag. And finally a length
of twine was looped through the top opening.
We're happy you could stop by today. Please join us tomorrow for an Inspired By post!

Embossed Elements: Dad
3:00 AM

My first card is a clean and simple one for Dad's Day. It uses just two DeNami stamps (Dad and Solid Block Border), two colors of ink (Habanero and Deep Lagoon), and two colors of cardstock. I used the Diamond Plate EF to emboss punched squares of cardstock. I love the bold, graphic look of this design. So easy to put together, too!

My second card is a little more involved, but really not too much more. And oddly enough, it has basically the same sketch as the first one! That was totally unplanned, but there you have it ;). For this one I used the Diamond Plate EF to emboss a panel of vellum as a background for my card. I diecut a few gear shapes (perfect for a guy card, right?) that go with that diamond plate background perfectly. Once again I used just two DeNami stamps in my design (Happy Father's Day and Stitched Rectangle) and two ink colors (Satin Red and Onyx Black). This design is perfect for any mechanically inclined dads!!

Thanks for taking a peek at my embossed Father's Day cards today. Be sure to take a peek below at my giveaway!
Please hop on over to my blog, My Little Slice of Bliss, and leave a comment there for a chance to win your very own Diamond Plate Embossing Folder. I have one up for grabs! Commenting will be open until midnight on May 28, 2014.
Thanks for dropping by!

Baseball Birthday
3:00 AM
Hello!
Tammy here sharing a fun little baseball birthday card which
is appropriate since we are full swing into baseball season.

I stamped the Retro Border at a diagonal in the center. Then
I stamped the Demi Dot Circle Frame inside a white circle. Next I added the Birthday Wishes circle followed by adding the Baseball Chickie from the All Star Chickies Stamp Set.
I colored the cutie with colored pencils and mineral spirits. I added
the circle layers to a star and placed in the center of the card. I
added a blue scallop border to the top and added texture by using the Stars Embossing Folder. Lastly, I added a little tab in the lower right corner stamping a baseball from the Sports Balls Stamp Set in the center in white ink.

You're Off The Hook
3:00 AM
Hi there, Lisa E. here today! I have the pleasure of sharing a fun card that would be great for one of the men in your family. Masculine cards seem to be a bit more difficult for most of us to make. I often turn to pattern, using it in the background to add interest. Stars and stripes were my choices here. The Teeny Star Background and Blue Stripes Washi tape are a simple mix that don't detract from the focal image.

Nami has given us a super assortment of chickies both masculine and feminine. I have to admit I'm partial to the fishing chickie because my son loves to fish! This little ball of feathery fun paired with the perfect sentiment fit the bill quite nicely. I feel I can get away with a bow for the fellas when I make it out of a twine!
There you go friends, fun simple and manly!!

Good morning!
Did you see the announcement of the August Blog Hop yesterday? We're going to be going sweet and simple, which can be challenging at times. Today I have a sweet and simple card by Lisa Petrella to share with you. Lisa's take on the trendy nautical theme is absolutely perfect. For this card she used the Nautical stamp set and the Three Line Border. Yes, you only need one stamp and one set for this cute card!

Airplane Congratulations + Special Event
3:00 AM
Innovative, creative and clean are the three words that come to mind when I see a card by DT member, Emily Keaton. She has a knack for creating beauties that prompts the question, "Why didn't I think of that?". Today's card is no exception.
Growing up, I'm sure many of you have made a paper airplane or two. While these are generally not considered a "paper craft", it CAN be! Emily was so creative and incorporated a paper airplane onto her card and added some fun stitching to finish off the look.
Tip: keep the card design and stamp choices to a minimal when adding a paper airplane to your card- you want it to be the spotlight!

For those in Massachusetts, TODAY we are going to be at Kept Creations for an exclusive event! Nami will be making a special appearance and doing demonstrations on a variety of products. Also, we have sent LOTS of stamps and products to the store, so you'll have a chance to buy onsite! You won't want to miss this rare event!
We hope to see many of you at this event and also at the W. Springfield, MA show this weekend! We'll have Make & Takes at the show, we have stocked up on our inventory and as usual, we have hundreds of sample cards to share. Break out the comfy shoes and your camera and come visit the booth!
Thanks for stopping into the DeNami blog today. I'll see you tomorrow for a new Photo Tutorial by Tammy!

NOT LISTED: copy paper, wooden buttons, corner rounder, denim fabric

Under the Sea Father's Day
3:00 AM
Hello there, DeNami friends!
Can you all believe we are almost in the month of June? With that month comes another holiday- Father's Day! I almost struggle with creating masculine cards, but as our collection of "boy" stamps increases, it has been easier and easier to create them. Thanks to the help of the Under the Sea and Nautical stamp sets, these cards will be a cinch this year!

Tip: adding "stitching" to your cardstock completes is the perfect way to finish off cards and still remain masculine.
Did you know that DeNami has a category with "boy" themed stamps? We've categorized it so you can find them all in one place! Click here to view our boy selection of stamps!
In closing, I want to announce the winner of the Product Spotlight Blog Hop. If you haven't purchased it yet, TODAY is the last day to take advantage of the 10% savings.
Charlene, please contact us at office@denamidesign.com
with your mailing address and we'll get this cling stamp set off to you right
away! Winners have one week to claim their prize. If a prize goes
unclaimed, we'll pick another winner!
Thank you for stopping in today. Hope you have a great Wednesday!
