Summertime Fun Card
Hi DeNami Friends,
Elizabeth here with another project! It's hot here in Cincinnati and I thought it would be awesome to be by the pool with a nice drink so I'm using that for inspiration this week! It's always more fun hanging out by the pool with a cool drink and some friends!

To create my card I created the background using the
Stitched Border and happy cocktails set. For the stitched border I used orange
and green dye ink. For the cocktails I used a Copic friendly ink and colored
them with some bright Copic colors (see supplies listed below for the colors
used). The owl is the new Medium Chillin' Owl with the new You Make Life More
Fun stamp. Both of these are stamped in Copic friendly ink and colored in with
Copic markers. I die cut it with a stitched circle die and then with a stitched
rectangle die to keep the stitching all the way around. I also used the
stitched rectangle die on the background piece. I made an A2 card base from
some yellow cardstock and adhered everything with my tape runner. I hope that this
card inspires you to create some summer themed cards using the new stamps!

Sunshine Flipflops
Happy 1st Monday of June!
Today we have another sweet card and post brought to you courtesy of Deb at My Craftroom Creations! This card epitomizes Deb's clean style and with Summer right around the corner, these flipflops are the PERFECT addition to your crafty creations.
Sketches
are always a great way to jump start your cardmaking. So I chose to use DeNami Sketch Challenge #13, by the talented Kanani, to create my summery card.
I created a Silhouette file to cut out my
Flipflops. You can also trim them using scissors. Then, I colored them in with
my Copics. Using my scoreboard, I scored my white cardstock at ¼ in increments
to create a wainscoting effect. Then, using my paper trimmer, I trimmed off the
corner at a diagonal. I used my stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp my sentiment in the
corner of the white card base. I tied some Melon/white twine from my Summer Twine pack around my scored panel. I adhered an Aqua Boutique button with scor
tape and finished it off with a bow. To finish my card, I added my scored panel
to the card base using foam adhesive. Then, using my 2 way glue pen, I
positioned the flip flops across the cut diagonal and adhered them in
place.

Tip: adding score lines is a great way to get texture on your cards, while still keeping it clean and simple.

Sunshine Kite
Hello and good morning!
It looks like another beautiful day is brewing here at the DeNami office. This morning I drove Gary & Nami to the airport. They'll be doing a whirlwind trip of seven back-to-back shows. We'll be everywhere from Colorado to New York and many stops in between. We will have all the new cling stamps, hundreds of our wood mounted stamps and just about all of our accessories at the shows. Lots of fun to be had!
Yesterday you saw the wide assortment of cards from the DT using the new Product Spotlight. Boy, oh boy, wasn't that an inspiring post? Today I have the card that Lisa created using this stamp. One of the things I love about Lisa's card- they are so recognizable!

Sweet Watermelon
Good morning!
I hope that many of you were able to hop along in the Summer Blog Hop that we had yesterday. Wasn't there a lot of fabulous creations? Our DeNami friends are SO creative and well, it is just so fun to see so many different stamps and styles represented in one place!
As some of you may have read on Lisa's blog, she and her husband have embarked on a trip to New Zealand. They left this past week and she will be MIA from blog land for about four months. However, being that Lisa is amazing, she created all of her DT creations beforehand and sent them to me. You'll see me posting them over the months, so we can all still be inspired by her beautiful, unique creations. :)
Here is what Lisa came up with for her Summer Blog Hop creation.....
I just love this sweet little creation- it's simply perfect! Lisa used one of our sampler papers (see below for the supply list) that works wonderfully with the Watermelon and Seeds/ Drops.

Hawaiian Week Day #4
Hello, DeNami friends!
Today we are wrapping up the Hawaiian Week on the blog. Since tomorrow is the farewell post for the DT gals that are leaving, I wanted to be sure that post took the spotlight. Have you enjoyed the theme of this week? I hope you were inspired by some of the cards!
This week I tried my best to highlight a variety of stamps from the Tropical Dreams collection. Since I didn't feature any of the flowers yet, I thought I would do that today. After looking at all the different choices, I finally decided on the Small Orchid. This flower is just so fun and you can color it in a variety of colors. I paired it with the Small Bamboo Leaf and added in the Bamboo Shoot for the background. Easy peasy!
Just in case you missed the news before, we have created a Tropical Dreams Pinterest board. There are some really great Hawaiian cards there- I hope you'll check it out!

Hawaiian Week Day #2
Hi there!
I'm so happy to hear and read that you all like the theme of this week! I had been wanting to do Hawaiian Week for quite some time, but somehow the blog calendar always seemed to get filled up. Seeing as tomorrow is the first day of Summer, I knew I had to fit it in SOON. With next week being sneak peek week (yay!), I couldn't put it off any longer. Two fun weeks in a row on the blog? Yes, please!
For my focal point, I chose the versatile Sand Castle and paired it with the Aloha sentiment. These stamps are not only great for cards, they work well for party favors, projects and also scrapbook pages!

Hawaiian Week Day #1
Hello and Happy Monday!
Thank you so much for your patience in this late blog post. This weekend was overwhelming and I never got around to finishing the post before today. Better late than never, right?
Today we are starting our Hawaiian Week here on the DeNami blog. We have four fun days of Hawaiian goodness planned- each day featuring stamps from our Tropical Dreams collection and LOTS of bright colors.
My card today features the super cute Flipflops Border. As many of you know, I love creating my own stamped papers, so I went that route today. Add in some bright markers and we have a card that is super Summery and fun!

Sunny Days
Hi there, DeNami friends!
Ready for a card that will brighten your morning and bring a smile? I recently was going through a crafting slump (something that is never good when you have deadlines). Usually when this happens, I go through my drawers and pull out something that I haven't used in a while. This time around, the stamps were the Sea Friends stamp set and the Sunny Days sentiment.
Do you ever find yourself creating cards that look similar? Whether it be in the layout, colors, stamp choices or theme? I catch myself doing that sometimes, so I tried doing something different in just about every way. A new layout, stamps I don't usually use and a different theme. I must say, that it wasn't so bad going outside of my "normal" card routine. I would highly suggest us all do this from time to time.
Tomorrow we have a fun Photo Tutorial that was created by a fellow DeNami friend. Any guesses as to who? This tutorial will come in handy for any upcoming gatherings you have- be sure to come by and check it out!

Glossy Seashells
Hello, DeNami friends!
I hope that you enjoyed the team-up we did with The Twinery on Friday. Wasn't that a treat blog hop? There were so many creative ideas using DeNami and The Twinery together! I'll be announcing the our winner of the blog hop a little later today, be sure to come back for that!
Today I have a card based off of our current Sketch Challenge #12. After seeing the lovely cards by the DT, I had to give the sketch a try. With the sunshine here in Washington, I couldn't help but pull out some of our fun Tropical Dreams stamps.
Did you notice the glossy seashells? I used Crystal Lacquer on the shells as my last finishing touch. I haven't pulled out this product in a while and forgot how fun it is! If you're new to Crystal Lacquer, we put together a video a while back featuring the different ways you can use it.
