Guest Blogger- Kay Miller "Watercolor Flower Card"
Hello and Happy Friday!
I am excited to be guesting with DeNami Designs stamps this month! I have a fun card to share with you today using some super sweet stamps!
Aren't those stamps just adorable! I love the
little bunny with the flower! For this card, I stamped everything in
waterproof ink right onto my watercolor panel. I watercolored the
background and the pretty pink flowers with Peerless watercolors.
I stamped the little bunny on a separate piece of paper, colored him with Copic markers and fussy cut him out. I adhered him to my watercolored panel with foam tape.

Guest Blogger- Kay Miller "Donut Chef Card"
Hi, I’m Kay Miller. I’ve been in love with stamping and card making for
over 20 years, after wandering into a small stamp store in Anacortez,
Washington, while visiting my Grandfather. I was totally enthralled
then, and I’m still as excited about it today as I was then! I am
currently living a long time dream of mine, creating for several of my
favorite stamp companies. I live in Missouri with my wonderful husband,
two great kids, and lots of furry friends. Along with my love of card
making, I also enjoy creating Christmas ornaments from Polymer clay,
digital scrapbooking, photography, and long walks outside with the
doggies. I’m thrilled to be guesting with DeNami Design!

I am so excited to be guesting with DeNami Design stamps this month! I have a fun card to share with you today using some absolutely adorable stamps!
Look
at all those happy little donuts and that adorable owl! I just love
these little stamps, and that sentiment is so fun! For my card, I
stamped the sentiment in waterproof black ink, then I watercolored the
background with Peerless watercolors on Master's Touch watercolor paper.
The stamps were colored with Copic markers, then I fussy cut them out,
and adhered them to my card with foam tape.

Guest Blogger- Sharna Waksmulski
Hello! Happy to be Guest blogging today!
I
love using smaller images to create an all over background design so
that my sentiment can take center stage. I used bright and happy copic
colors to color in my little happy donuts. (B124 Happy Donut) I cut out a
little banner to use for my sentiment and stamped it but I didn't feel
like it stood out enough so I used a purple copic marker around the edge
to really make it stand out. Lastly I finished off the design using
some Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I hope you like it!

I'm Canadian Born but moved to Chicago when I was 10. I have a
degree in photography from Columbia College and really loved to do
anything artistic. I stumbled on card making by accident but really got
into because the community was so encouraging and welcoming. Even after
having my first child I found crafting and card making really helped me
relax and get back in tune with myself.

Chickie Vacation Card
Hello!
This is Anna K, from Russia, back to share another fun project with you. Today I am sharing this simple but funny card. I love the Build-A-Chickie Clear Stamp Set so much and also Happy Mail Clear Stamp Set the first time I saw them. The first idea I had was of two little chickies traveling with
their mom/granny/aunt on vacation.
I made three chickies with this set.The left one is carrying the
suitcases and his tiny little legs can barely handle the weight of the luggage. The
right one is that old aunt in her favorite hat and shoes, with a bag
in her arms, pulling the third little chick. In the background you can see an airplane flying as if they are traveling in New York City.
Use your imagination and you can come up with fun scenes using this little Build-A-Chickie set. I had a lot of fun with them.

Chickie Congrats Card- Guest Designer
Hi everyone!
OMG… I LOVE LOVE LOVE these chicks! I created
them using the Build-A-Chickie stamp set. This set is super versatile! There are
different faces, bodies, hats and accessories! There are no limits! You can
create tons characters. For my project, I stamped the chicks side by side. I
kept the design very simple because I wanted to focus on the colors. I colored the
cuties with Copic markers in rainbow colors. To finish off my card, I stamped
the “Congrats” from the Monster Celebrations stamp set in black ink and grounded the card with a
strip of washi tape.

December Guest Designer
Hello there!
Happy December 1st to you! Today I have TWO blog posts for you- one that will continue the Christmas Cards week and then this one. With a new month upon us, it's time for a brand new Guest Designer!
I am a big Twitter person, and I recently started following the lovely Danielle Walls. This lady is an enabler, for sure. I'm constantly hearing about new products because of her tweets. :) In addition, I've been super inspired by her fabulous blog. Danielle posts multiple times a week, so there's always some new, awesome eye candy!
Okay, let's get to know Danielle a little better....
I stumbled upon the world of paper crafting a little over a year ago and just can't seem to stop! I love everything about stamps, ink, and paper, and it definitely helps me keep my sanity in a house full of boys. I'd describe my style as clean and simple for the most part, although I'm always up for trying something new. I love bright, bold colors, and fun, whimsical stamps. Perhaps more importantly, I love the friendships I have froemd since start my paper crafting journey. It's such a warm, welcoming community!

November Guest Designer
Happy November 1st to you!
With a new month upon us, it's time for a brand new Guest Designer here on the DeNami blog! You may remember back in June I had an open call for people to submit their applications to be a Guest Designer. I had SO many fabulous entries, it truly was a hard choice to pick out just a few ladies. One of the applications that really stood out to me was Glenda's. Her work, eye for style and her use of DeNami stamps really caught my attention. The rest, as they say, is history.
Let's get to know Glenda....
"I am thrilled to be the DeNami Guest Designer for
November! I just about fell over when I
got Paulina’s email several weeks ago. Thank
you so much Paulina! DeNami Stamps were my ‘first love’ when it comes to stamps
so it means a lot to me to be asked. It’s
been a difficult secret to keep!
My best friend and I started stamping together about 14
years ago and we are still crafting together today! I am fortunate enough to have so many great friends thanks to
paper crafting. I have met some amazing
people through classes I have taught, events I’ve participated in and groups
I’ve been a part of. I’ve also made
virtual friends though blogging and social networks. These crafty friends are both in my own city and all across North
America. It’s great that the paper
crafting community is so supportive and inspirational. I’m also lucky enough to have a supporting
hubby, who never asks how much I spend on my addiction, I mean, hobby!
My paper crafting style is generally clean and simple with some
classy and elegant thrown in. I love to
play with bold colours and innovative colour combinations. Red is my favourite colour, just don’t ask
me to put red and pink together!

October Guest Designer
Hello and Happy Friday to you!
With today being the last weekday of September, I thought it'd be the perfect
time to announce our very special Guest Designer for October. This talented lady has joined us in numerous blog hops and challenges in the past, so I'm sure many of you will recognize the name. I'm excited to announce that the sweet Tammy Hobbs will be joining us for the month of October!
"It's an honor to join the DeNami team as October's Guest Designer. My love for paper-crafting began a few years ago when I received a handmade Christmas card from a friend. A few months later I was invited to a stamp party, and the rest is history! There is nothing like the personal touch of a handmade card, and I haven't sent a store bought card to anyone in years!
If I had to sum up my card making style in a word, it would be eclectic. My creative spirit can be influenced by everything from my mood that day, to something I experience or an image that I see.
I truly feel lucky to have found such a wonderful creative outlet. I love everything about paper-crafting, and when it comes to "me" time, I can't think of anything better!"

September Guest Designer
Hello!
With a new
month upon us, it's time for a new Guest Designer here on the DeNami
blog.I am beyond thrilled to announce that the super sweet and talented Emily Keaton will be joining us this month.
Many
of you may recognize Emily's name- she has participated in quite a few of
our challenges and blog hops in the past. She has such creative projects, and boy is she a sweetie pie!
My love affair with making things started when I was 5 years
old. I distinctly remember attempting to make a pair of bedroom slippers for my
mom for Christmas using paper and a bar of soap (somehow I got it into my head
that wet soap would make good glue. I was wrong.). Ever since, I’ve been
attempting to make all kinds of useful things, primarily from fabric and paper,
with varying degrees of success. I was first introduced to rubberstamping and
the art of cardmaking in 2004, but my paper creativity really got a boost when I
first discovered the stamping community of Splitcoaststampers in 2009. My blog,
My Little Slice of Bliss, followed in July 2010.
Basically, I'm a simple gal. When I started off down the road
on my extended papercrafting journey, I made a conscious decision to avoid
investing in expensive tools and equipment. There just isn't money in our budget
or space in our house for extras like these. So, no dies, embossing folders, die
cutting machines, or Copics for me. You won’t see expensive embellishments on my
projects and you’ll rarely see the latest papers. I do what I can with punches
and rely on colored pencils or watercolor painting for coloring images, but
otherwise I look for creative design solutions, make do with what I've got, or
do without. I like raiding my sewing supplies (some of which are vintage
supplies I inherited from my grandmother’s sewing basket) for embellishments,
repurposing “stuff” that drifts into my life, and keeping my eyes open for
dollar store bargains that I can use on paper projects.
I share my papercrafting space with my best friend and
husband of 18 years and our two children, ages 12 and 8. The highlight of our
days is eating supper together every night, giving us a chance to catch up on
our days and talk about how the world works. We enjoy having family movie
nights, playing board and card games, geocaching, and camping. I have a degree
in mathematics and work as a freelance writer and editor for college math
textbooks and ancillaries. I love the freedom and flexibility that working “for
myself” gives me to manage our family life and maintain my sanity with creative
pursuits."

August Guest Designer
Hello and Happy Friday to you!
With today being the last weekday of July, I thought it'd be the perfect time to announce our very special Guest Designer for August. This person has faithfully joined in our blog hops in the past and has also participated in quite a few of our challenges. (She has even won a few!) I'm excited to announce that the lovely Nicki Scheck will be joining us for the month of August!
Of course, I am inspired by so
many other crafters and bloggers out there as well. I like to think I take bits
and pieces of ideas and techniques I see, and combine them in unique ways when
designing my own cards. My graphic design background is also helpful in applying
basic design principles!
I've been stamping for 10
years, and started my blog, Dream Create Inspire, in January 2010 for
only one reason: to apply for design teams. Little did I know how much blogging
and participating in challenges has not only exposed me to so many other awesome
crafters, but I really believe that my skills have greatly improved! I look
forward to the month ahead and sharing my ideas and creations with all of
you!"

Guest Designer Opportunities
Hello, and Happy Monday!
We are nearing the end of the current DT term, which means my line-up of guest designers is almost done. It has been such a great experience having these ladies join us. Each of them have so much talent, and they worked magic with their DeNami stamps/ products.
With that being said....we are looking at having guest designers again August- December. We had many people inquire about wanting to apply, so here is all the info you'll need!
Send a brief description on why you'd like to be a DeNami Guest Designer.
Email
three pictures/ blog links of your best creations. (No DeNami stamps
required on projects, but we'd love to see them if you have them!)
If available, please include your blog address and/or gallery links.
Send your name and required information to office@denamidesign.com with the subject line "Guest Designer Application". (Deadline to apply: June 18th)
In addition to sending an email, we'd like to encourage you to participate in the blog challenges. We DO look at each and every entry- many of our current DT members had participated in the challenges before they joined our team! Also, those who have blogs and leave comments, we visit your blogs too!
We are looking forward to receiving your emails! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to send us an email.
