Quick and Easy Stand Up Pop Card and Video

Hello Friends,

I have been enjoying doing the Facebook Live videos and getting the interaction to the projects. Thank you to all of you that have been following along and watching, placing orders and supporting the effort. It means a lot to me! I've been demonstrating for 28 years at trade and stamp show and doing it on social media is a whole new adventure. I love it!!

Some of you have been asking what supplies and stamps I used here. I have it listed below. But if you ever come across a stamp in our videos, you can just go to the website (HERE) and in the top right hand, you can enter key words in the search bar. At least it will narrow it down for you even if you don't have a code number. We also have our stamps broken down by category. In fact, when you peruse the categories, you might find some images you never even knew existed! Many stamps we have were designed in matching collections. It's not obvious on the website since they will also be broken down by sizes, with smaller designs appearing first in the search.

Anyway, below is the FB Live video that I uploaded to YouTube. I also posted the pictures so you can get some close ups of the project. This project is so pretty but also quick and easy. It has the WOW factor but really doesn't take much time to make at all. We have many wonderful designs that can be used in place of the stamps used. You can substitute on of our circle or square stamps. We also have loads of flowers that you can use for the centerpiece or even use one of our many bouquets or clusters. There are so many options! Just peruse our site and see the style of design you want for this card.

Speaking of Facebook, we hit 6,000 likes today and want to celebrate with a giveaway! We will be giving away four $25 DeNami online certificates on our Facebook page. You can enter HERE.

Here is the video:

Here is the card. It's nice that it stands up and also will flatten in your envelope. Just make sure the envelope is bigger to accommodate the bulk. You don't need a padded envelope, but do expect to pay extra postage for this beauty.

This gives you and idea of the dimensional quality of this card.

Aren't these colors so pretty?! I love the orange and hot pink combo. Not a combo you see too often. It looks like summer to me.

Here's another angle of the dimension.

More dimension....

Here's the top view so you can see how it all works and how it flattens.

Here's a side view of the card.

This card just makes me happy. So much happiness here. What occasion would you make this for? Comment below.

Monster Pop-up Card

Hello! It’s Lisa P here. Have you ever made a pop-up card? They are super fun to create and DeNami Design’s pop-up card templates really simplify the process. Today I’m sharing a pop-up card I created using the adorable CR03 Monster Celebrations Stamp Set!

I started with a standard A2-size card base. I stamped the “HOORAY” monster image from CR03 Monster Celebrations and colored it with markers. I added the CL-E175 Balloon Trio and paper pieced the balloons with patterned papers. And what’s a party without sparkle?!?! With the help of a GL-01 Quickie Glue Pen and some SS02 Extra Fine Sparklets Glitter, the “HOORAY” really shimmers!

I set the card base aside and grabbed a Tiered Pop-Up Card Template. Using a craft knife, I carefully cut along the solid lines. Then, I scored and folded along the dotted lines (making sure the printed guidelines were facing toward the back). Then I went to work creating what would end up being the inside of the card. I stamped a bunch of the monster images from CR03 Monster Celebrations onto scraps of white cardstock, colored them in with markers, did a little paper piecing on some of the images and cut them out leaving a thin white border around their edges. I adhered the images to the various parts of the pop-up card and added some extra details including some balloons, a scalloped border at the top and a sentiment at the bottom.

So now THIS will be what the recipient finds when he/she opens the card:

Isn’t that fun?!?! Makes me smile every time I open it up!

I also added some more glittery sparkle to the inside (on the edge of the scalloped border and on the “YAY!”). Here’s a closer look:

Once the inside was finished, I placed adhesive on the back side of the pop-up panel and adhered it to the inside of my card base. And there you have it! A card with a built-in surprise!

So, what do you think?!?! Are you ready to make a pop-up card??? If you do…be sure to share it with us! We love seeing your creations!

Thanks for visiting today!

Chickie Couture #4

Hello there, DeNami friends!

Lisa P. here with our May 2013 "Chickie Couture" feature!!!  This time around I've dressed Mr. Chickie up for a WILD adventure! Are you ready???

This is the front of my card for today. I left it very plain and simple because I wanted the contrast of the fun-filled inside to be a COMPLETE surprise!

Any guesses as to what's inside?!?!

It's Safari Chickie!!!! Isn't he ADORABLE?!?! His hat is from the newly released Everyday Hats Stamp Set and was actually the inspiration for Mr. Chickie's outfit this month!  I drew the vest and pockets by hand.

The card itself is a pop-up card! This was my first time making a pop-up card and it was super duper easy thanks to DeNami Design's Pop Up Card Kits!!! The kits contain 5.5" x 8.5" pieces of cardstock with solid and dotted lines pre-printed on them and easy to follow instructions. All you have to do is use a craft knife to cut on the solid lines and then fold (as directed) on the dotted lines. Then you go to town decorating it using stamped images and adhere the completed template to a blank 5.5" x 4.25" card! It's SO MUCH FUN, and I LOVE the results!!! You should definitely try these out!!!

Here's a close-up:

So...what do you think of this month's "Chickie Couture" feature?

How about a GIVEAWAY?!?! Head on over to my blog, Bellalistona, and leave a comment for a chance to win a prize package including one Large Chickie Stamp, one "hey chickie" sentiment stamp, and one Quickie Glue Pen!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Christmas Carolers

Hello there!

Well, I have to start off by saying that I have LOVED reading the entries for the current Facebook giveaway. It's always fun to see what stamps are on our customers wish lists..... If you haven't entered yet, be sure to leave a comment on this picture. We will announce the winners on the DeNami Facebook page on Thursday, so be sure to enter soon!

Now onto today's lovely Christmas card.....This was a previous class card which was a huge hit. There's something so special about receiving a pop up card in the mail. I know many are intimidated by pop up cards (I previously was), but thanks to the Pop Up Templates, it's actually quite easy!

How fun is the inside of this card? I just love the Christmas Carolers! Add the Mini Music Notes and it looks like they really are singing! Once you create the main pop up part, it's fun to add all the "extras" along the top and bottom.

In closing, I want to remind you that today is the last day to enter the Sketch Challenge #5. There are lots of great entries so far- if you get the chance, be sure to head over and take a peek!  See you here again tomorrow!

Cheery Shopping Gals

Hi there!

Today is a gorgeous day in Washington. Whenever it's sunny, I feel like posting happy, cheery cards on the blog. The sunshine makes me want to look a bright and fun cards. I'm sure if you look on previous posts, you'll be able to tell which days we had rainy and gloomy weather. :)

If you are new to DeNami Design, we have a large line of Pop Up Card Kits. If you want to dress up a card, or create one that is for someone special, this is the way to go. Our pre-printed cards come with a guide to show you which lines are cut, scored and folded. For today's pop up card, Nami used the Shopping Gals as the focal point. Of course, we can't have a card with just one stamp....we added lots of decorative stamps to enhance the card.

Now for today's question: are you a fan of the Shopping Gals? Would you like to see more designs featuring these gals? We know that Mimi is not for everyone, so we came out with this alternative. Let us know your thoughts....we truly value them!

Have a fabulous Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by the DeNami blog today!
