Photo Booth Chickie Card and Guest Blogger from Russia

Hi Friends,

Today I am delighted to introduce to you a popular card maker and scrapbooker from Russia. I saw her lovely projects on Instagram and asked her to share her talents with us. Be sure to scroll down to see all her lovely pics.

Her Instagram handle is @umichka and her website is Umichka.com.

Hello!

My name is Anna and I live in Russia, Saint-Petersurg with my sweet family. My scrapbook life started in 2011, when we were expecting our daughter. I tried some styles and techniques for the first year, and then the Clean and Simple style stole my heart. I equally love to create scrapbook layouts and cards, and also I’m a project lifer since 2014. Recently, I spend more time cardmaking – cards are easy and fast to create and it relaxes me as I start to play with my favorite supplies. I like to make cards with funny scenes and combine some small elements from different sets to get the result I imagine.

I just adore the Build-A-Chickie Clear Stamp Set set! I love the possibility of building my own chickies and even sweet scenes! So for my first post I chose this set and made a "photo booth" style card - it shows the story of one funny guy, his girl friend and his friends.
I used stitched film strip die and stamped some "pictures" inside of it. For making the crowd I used simple masking - just covered some places with the sheet of paper.
For the background, I blended with Distress inks, sprinkled with water and then added some stamped dots with Teeny Swiss Dot stamp and the One of a Kind sentiment.

Hugs for a Sweet Friend Encouragement Card

Hi Friends,

Encouragement cards are so appreciated by recipients, especially during times of need. I like to send out a note of encouragement any chance I get. I belong to a homeschool co-op and carry around some note cards and a pad of pretty paper. Sometimes I just give a note to someone that comes to mind, I hear has a birthday or if I am aware of something they are going through.

I don't limit it to close friends or even people I know. I have been known to give a little note to someone that I don't know well at all. Sometimes it even means more when they least expect it.

Today, DT Lisa P created a heartfelt card for a fellow stamping friend that is facing the challenge of her life, cancer. I know it means the world to her friend knowing that she is not facing this fight alone and that people are praying for her and thinking of her.

Here is the card that she made. This would be such a nice one to have on hand for those times.

~~~
Hello there! It’s Lisa P. Today I’m sharing a card I made for one my sweet inky friends, Michele, who was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. A bunch of us Colorado crafty girls got together for lunch with Michele a few days before her surgery to give her big hugs and shower her with love, laughter and support.
I used the CL-F249 Medium Awareness Chickie as my focal point and added lots of sparkle (because if you know Michele then you know she loves her bling *wink*). I framed the focal point with a die-cut tag that I stamped repeatedly with “hugs” and hearts.
Here’s a closer look:
I hope you like my project for today and feel inspired to get creative!
Thanks for visiting!
Halloween Shaker Card
Hello Friends,
Shaker cards are fun because they are like a party in a card. Lisa shares how she created this adorable one with the new little chickie trio stamp.
These cards are so special that they are a gift in itself. This idea can easily be used to make a Christmas card, birthday card or any occasion card. Use this idea as a springboard for many of your own ideas.
She writes:
Hello, DeNami Design friends! It’s Lisa P, and today I’m sharing a Halloween shaker card I made with the recently released CL-E193 Jack O’ Lantern Chickie Trio.
Aren’t those little chickies totally adorable all dressed up in their Halloween costumes?!?! And I couldn’t resist adding a little “Boo!” sentiment to the scene---although these little ones are way too cute to spook, don’t ya think?!?!
For my shaker bits, I used orange and gold sequins and some silver confetti stars. Here’s a closer look:
