Poinsettias & Holly Vines
6:00 AM
Hi there!
As we are getting closer and closer to the release of the next two card kits, I'm getting super excited for Christmas. There's something so festive about poinsettias and holly vines. Add some of our Gold glitter and you have a perfect Christmas card!
I thought I'd something new for this post. I'll give you step-by- step instructions on this card!
1) Fold Burgundy card base to create A2 size card. (4¼ x 5½)
3) Stamp G143 Christmas Holly Vine with Olympia Green ink.
4) Stamp B99 Sm. Poinsettia Blossom with Crimson Red ink.
5) Create 2¾" Cream circle; mat to 3" card scallop circle
7) Apply Crystal Lacquer to holly vine and poinsettias; sprinkle Gold glitter
Wasn't that super easy? This would be a great card to mass produce! If you aren't too fond of these colors, you can easily switch them out for some pinks, reds and brighter greens. That's the beauty of cardmaking- you can use a card design and easily make it your own.
I hope this card brought some holiday cheer into your day. I'll be back tomorrow with a cheery Christmas card, along with another peek at one of the card kits!
Stamps: Small Poinsettia Blossom, Single Poinsettia, Christmas Holly Vine
Paper: Cream, Burgundy, Hunter Green, Gold
Other: Crystal Lacquer, Gold glitter, Marvy 3" scallop circle punch, Sheer Gold ribbon

Again, GREAT cards for today! I do send a LOT of christmas cards! We have a lot of family, and so we end up sending about 60 cards in total. I've got about 25 of them already done though! So I think i'm headed in the right direction! =)
Very pretty card. Love those images. I do send out Christmas cards. I sent out about 70 cards last year. All handmade. I will send about the same amount this year. I may pare it down to 50 depending on how many cards I get done.
Such a pretty card! And what a great idea to include the step-by-step instructions for making it! I LOVE to send Christmas cards! Last year I think I sent about 75, but only a dozen were handmade! However I do try to include a letter or handwritten note in each and every one. This year my goal is for at least half of them to be handmade! We'll see how it goes!
Awesome card!!! I do send handmade Christmas Cards every year!!! I even make cards for people that also need to send Holiday cards out!!! I start making my cards about now....lol!!!
I love the card.
This is the 1st yr I'm sending out homemade cards. Being unemployed I started making cards for b-day's, anniversary's, etc. to keep my mind active while staying home. I just love it! I'm having a blast making the holiday cards and each card has its own unique quality.
I send only a few to family in other states. The other few I hand deliver to more family (brothers and parents). My Christmas Card total is about 12.
I send about 15 cards. But I give about 65 to 75 out to family and friends at Church...
Very pretty.. TFS
I only did 24 cards this year..
Love the card! Every year, my Christmas cards are different. I've had some years where I send out 40 cards. However, last year, sadly, I had just moved and was too swamped to send any. This year, I'm hoping to get out 20 or so handmade cards. I'd love to send them to all my friends and family, but time is the biggest factor for me. We'll see, though. *Fingers crossed*
Yes...this year I have to cut back. It cost so much to mail them anymore. I made 30 of my "card of the year", and will make some personal ones for family and close friends.
Love the card. It is so pretty. Thank you for including the detailed instructions. Those are so helpful for dimensions, etc. I make and send out around 60 cards for Christmas. I try to make them CAS. It's almost time to start working on them.
Beautiful card!! I do send out cards...about 20. :0)
Yes, I create Christmas cards. Probably around 50 or so...This is my favorite time of year...
