Sneak Peek Week Day 1- Words of Encouragement

Hi Friends,

Today is the big day! We are revealing the first of the week of Sneak Peeks! The reveal comes on January 5, where you will be able to buy up all these goodies. It has been fun working with these stamps. People have been clamoring for more Faith stamps to express their heartfelt sentiments. This is a response to their requests.

These use the new CRO4 Heartfelt Blessings Clear Stamp Sets.
Yes, you heard that right, these are the first ever Clear Stamps that DeNami is offering. Because we have not carried them before, your purchase will ensure we carry clear stamps in the future.

The quality of these clear stamps are great. Firstly, they are made of high quality photopolymer material, they are on a clear backing that has the image on it so you know where to store them or if any are missing. They are made in the USA and the clear backing is in the form of a folder so the cover sheet doesn't get lost, but you just fold it over.

Supplies used:

CR04 Heartfelt Blessing Clear Stamp Set (Available January 5, 2015)
Ribbons

Here is how you create a polka dotted background using N133 Polka Dot Background.Stamp once on the side of the card, then line up the dots to the spaces as shown in the pic below.

Here you can see how the rubber aligns with the stamped dots. Make sure the dots are aligned to the spaces to continue the dotted pattern.

Here is the finished result. A seamless background. This background stamp is great for making blank cards into patterned ones. You can do tone on tone as you see here. You can do black dots on white cardstock, white dots on black paper, you can make them in striped colors by just running markers across the dots. The possibilities are endless!

The great part is you can just leave it stamped in half and apply a different pattern on the other half or leave blank. The dots would look great with the plaid, as you will see how to do below.

Here is how to create the little flag on the card. Cut out a strip of card stock and then another strip that is narrower than the cardstock.

Cut out a chevron edge, about 45 degrees. You can make it pointier or less depending on the angle you use.

Line up the white cardstock and cut the same angle

When you flip it over, it will look like this.
You can use it this way or slide it up to show the edges.

This is how it looks on my card.
Use ATG adhesive to attach together so it doesn't move.

Here is how to create a plaid background. Using the N128 Three Line Border. Stamp it with the Sea Breeze Versamagic pad. Stamp the first one where you want. I did it at a 45 degree angle. You can do it in so many ways.
Once you stamped the first one, align the wood to the stripe you stamped and create the second stripe.
Continue this until you cover the desired background.

You can also mask areas that you do not want stamped. I have stamped half a card with plaid and the other half with polka dots.

This stripe is versatile because you can do it vertically or horizontally. You can also just do stripes one directions, such as red on white cardstock so it looks like candy cane stripes.

To complete the plaid, I used the Versamagic in the Aloe Vera and stamped the N128 Three Line Border stamp going the other direction starting with the other corner. As you can see, making plaid is very easy once you know to just align the wood to the stripe.

If you want the plaid tighter, you can align the wood to the middle stripe instead of the outer stripe.

Here is the final result of the plaid background.
It really gives your blank cardstock so many options.
