Donut Worry Be Happy Card

Hi Everyone!

Elizabeth here with another fun and simple card. I don’t know about you but I love donuts! My personal favorite are custard filled with chocolate frosting! I was wanting some donuts when I remembered the donut stamp and thought I would make a card with donuts and then maybe I wouldn’t eat any! That didn’t work! I still had a donut!

To create this card I first stamped the Stitched Border stamp in grey dye ink, leaving enough room for the donuts. Next, I stamped the donuts in three different dye inks between the grey stitched lines. After that I die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die. I used a larger stitched rectangle to cut out the grey cardstock to go as the bottom layer of my card. For the circle, I stamped Donut Worry Be Happy stamp in black dye ink and stamped the donut in another dye ink color. Next, I cut it out using a stitched circle die. When I was designing this card in my head I really liked the of having the stitched look through out the card to bring it all together. To assemble the card I used a tape runner for the two rectangle panels and foam tape for the circle to add some dimension. I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week! Don’t forget when your creating a card to “Donut worry, be happy” and eat a donut!

Guest Blogger- Kay Miller "Donut Chef Card"

Hi, I’m Kay Miller. I’ve been in love with stamping and card making for over 20 years, after wandering into a small stamp store in Anacortez, Washington, while visiting my Grandfather. I was totally enthralled then, and I’m still as excited about it today as I was then! I am currently living a long time dream of mine,  creating for several of my favorite stamp companies. I live in Missouri with my wonderful husband, two great kids, and lots of furry friends. Along with my love of card making, I also enjoy creating Christmas ornaments from Polymer clay, digital scrapbooking, photography, and long walks outside with the doggies. I’m thrilled to be guesting with DeNami Design!

Hello and Happy Friday! !
I am so excited to be guesting with DeNami Design stamps this month! I have a  fun card to share with you today using some absolutely adorable stamps!

Look at all those happy little donuts and that adorable owl! I just love these little stamps, and that sentiment is so fun! For my card, I stamped the sentiment in waterproof black ink, then I watercolored the background with Peerless watercolors on Master's Touch watercolor paper. The stamps were colored with Copic markers, then I fussy cut them out, and adhered them to my card with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful weekend! All of the products I used for this card are listed and linked below!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Kay :)

Guest Blogger- Sharna Waksmulski with another Happy Card

Hello Everyone!

I am back again with another guest post for you today! I have a second card for you today using those happy donuts! I mean aren't they just adorable? I thought it would be fun to show another way to use them.

I used the Pretty Pink Posh filmstrip die to create my focal point using a dark denim blue to really make it pop against the background. Once I had them stamped and colored, I attached the whole thing to a few layers of colored paper from my stash. I really like the green and blue combo with the pops of color. The sentiment I stamped and cut a banner end and curled it up just a bit to give it some added dimension. It wasn't standing out enough so I added a few more strips of paper in coordinating colors to match the background.

Hope you enjoyed my card!

Guest Blogger- Sharna Waksmulski

Hello! Happy to be Guest blogging today!

I love using smaller images to create an all over background design so that my sentiment can take center stage. I used bright and happy copic colors to color in my little happy donuts. (B124 Happy Donut) I cut out a little banner to use for my sentiment and stamped it but I didn't feel like it stood out enough so I used a purple copic marker around the edge to really make it stand out. Lastly I finished off the design using some Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I hope you like it!

Sharna

I'm Canadian Born but moved to Chicago when I was 10. I have a degree in photography from Columbia College and really loved to do anything artistic. I stumbled on card making by accident but really got into because the community was so encouraging and welcoming. Even after having my first child I found crafting and card making really helped me relax and get back in tune with myself.
