Sneak Peek Week Day 2- Foodie Fun

Sneak Peek Week Day 2- Foodie Fun

Welcome to Day 2 of Sneak Peek Week!

Hope you enjoyed the first day of it. If you missed it, you can find it HERE.

Today we introduce our happy food with Foodie Fun foods! Food should be fun and these little morsels will put a smile to your face:)

On today's post, I featured our sushi and Asian food stamps. These are fun for any occasion. Use your imagination and make them into whatever you can imagine! These food stamps would also be perfect to pair with a restaurant gift card or dinner invitation.

Here is the grouping of stamped creations I did using this collection.

I used the strong red, black and white color theme to bring out the Asian food theme. Here are just the cards.

Here are the candies from the favor box shown available from DeNami. The box measures 2.25x2.25 and 1 inch deep. They can also fit 8 Hershey's nuggets. I used the Hershey's miniatures for this one. I was able to fit 6 of them in it. I made my own labels using the Avery address label (5160). I show you how below.

I took the Versafine Onyx Black ink pad and stamped the food stamps on each label I needed.

I then used water based markers to color in the labels. Aren't they cute?!

I then put 6 in the box.

Here is a side view so you can see how they are packaged.

I then added ribbon to top it off.

Here is a close up of the gift bag. I printed it on black cardstock from DeNami using a laser printer. The shiny toner made it easier to know where to cut. You cut on the solid lines and score on the dotted lines. I then used a one inch punch to cut out the hole handle. You can leave solid if you prefer or use a different size. This is very versatile. If you print at 105% you can fit the clear box I showed inside this bag. This gift bag is available HERE.
You can order it or buy it in a downloadable format. (Note: The download is for personal use only and not to be shared.)

Valentine Lollipop Treats

Hello friends,

I can't wait to share with you what Deb has been cooking up. I think she has outdone herself with cuteness!! I absolutely love how simple this is, yet totally creative and eye catching.
Today you can learn how to make this in time for Valentine's Day.

This project would be perfect for party favors for a kid's party, bridal shower, celebration, or even game day. Just change out the colors and stamps to create the theme you need.

You can even do this and tuck a Dove chocolate instead of the lollipop. Just don't make the hole for the stick. If you don't want to do candy, you can easily tuck in a mini post it note pad! How cute would that be!

Here's Deb's step by step tutorial. Give her some love by leaving a comment. Us bloggers LOVE comments.
Here's what Deb writes:

Hello DeNami friends! It’s Deb here today sharing some fun Valentine’s Day treats using some stamps from the latest release combined with some older stamps. DeNami carries so many wonderful Valentine themed stamps that you can easily substitute the images or sentiments while making this project.

For my project, I created some adorable lollipop wrappers. First I measured my lollipops to ensure they would be completely wrapped. I used Jolly Rancher lollipops. I trimmed my cardstock to 3x 2 ¾. Since I was using DeNami cardstock I simply trimmed it in half lengthwise and then trimmed off 2 ½ inches.

I decided that I would use my embossing folders to jazz them up a bit.  I knew the cardstock was going to be longer, but I decided that the non embossed portion would end up on the back of the wrapper anyway. Also, some of the embossing folders emboss a bit deeper if using a thinner cardstock. That is was happened with my Thin Lines wrapper so I ended up using Wire Fence  instead.

I scored them down the middle.

Then I marked a spot half way down so that I could hole punch the center for the lollipop stick. As it turned out, my crop-a-dile was too short! So I used my scissors to trim an opening.

I stamped my focal point using the new Sealed with a Kiss and Sweetie Skunk along with my other sentiments and images. I added some foam adhesive to attach them to the wrappers.

Then I simply slid them into the wrappers. I applied a bit of ATG to one side to make sure they didn’t slide around.

Then I used my Tim Holtz tiny attacher to close them. You could also use a regular stapler or more ATG.

I applied some ATG to my fingers, just like Nami taught me *wink* and then wrapped it around the lollipop stick.

I trimmed some ribbon to about 6 inches and tied a knot around the stick making sure the ribbon was attached to the stick. Then I trimmed off the excess ribbon.

This project would also work great as party favors at a baby shower or birthday party. I hope you have the chance to give this a try.

Candy Purses

Hi Friends,

I love Valentine's Day. It's a great time to share your love and appreciation to those around you. Little gifts and treats are a great way of spreading the love around easily and inexpensively.

These little candy purses can use scrap cardstock and supplies.

Here's what you will need:

TR12 Sweet Treat Blocks Trifles Set (Scallop Square stamp)
E114 Small Circle Dot Frame
F183 Double Circle stamp
Versafine Onyx Black ink pad
ATG adhesive
Boutique Buttons
Rhinestones
Scissors
PC21 White Cardstock
PC45 Amethyst Cardstock
PC49 Lavender Cardstock
Marvy purple Oval Scallop Punch (2x3 inches)
Marvy purple Square Scallop Punch (2 inches)
Marvy purple Rectangle Scallop Punch (1.5x2.5 inches)
Marvy yellow Scallop Circle Punch (1.5 inches)

Here are the Marvy punches

Here are the DeNami stamps I used

For the hot pink purse, punch out 2 scallop rectangles.

Fold about 4 scallops in, or 1 inch from edge approximately

Using an ATG adhesive applicator, apple to the folded ends and attach ends together.

Apply ATG adhesive to inside and press candy, such as Rolo, Hershey's Nuggets, Hershey's Kisses, hard candies, etc.
On White cardstock, stamp scallop square with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad.

Detail cut or Fussy cut the scallop with scissors.

 Fold diagonally in half.

Apply ATG adhesive and attach to top of purse.

 Gather buttons and rhinestones

Apply ATG adhesive to your fingers and press on button to adhere adhesive.
Continue stacking another button and then a self adhesive rhinestone.

 Attach to purse base.

For handle, stamp Dot Circle stamp with Versafine Onyx Black ink pad.
Punch out using Marvy 1.5 inch scallop circle punch, centering it in the window.
 Super easy to do this.

 Fold it in half.
 Using scissors, cut out center.

 Unfold creating a ring.
Apply ATG adhesive to your finger and then press ring to the adhesive until it transfers.
You should have a sticky front ring.
 Attach to purse body.
 Look how adorable this looks!

Here is the other variation using Scallop Oval punches.
Here it is using the Square Scallop punch. Punch out three and fold one 2 scallops in or just make sure the middle surface is wide enough for your candy. This one is about 1 inches wide.
Apply ATG to the folded sides and then attach the square scallops to the adhesive.
Optional: Cut off about 1.25 inches from the end or 2 scallops.

Turn over and apply ATG adhesive and press on candy.

There are so many variations you can come up with. You can vary the depth and make them shallower for Post-it Notes. You can also put a mini bag inside and fill with loose candies, like M&M's.
These would also make great little girls' birthday party favors, bridal shower favors, Mother's Day gifts, ladies' luncheons favors, etc.
Hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed making them. Once you get started, they are so easy to make lots of them. Have fun.
What will you be making them for? Comment below.
