Sneak Peek Week Day 4- Jelly Friends

Sneak Peek Week Day 4- Jelly Friends

 Hello Friends,

Welcome to Day 4 of Sneak Peek Week! Today we introduce to your our "Jelly Friends". They are great for bringing cheer and a smile to a friend.

It was fun creating these smiling cards. You can easily add googly eyes to them to bring even more dimension.

Here is the card grouping:

I used several of the Pretty Pink Posh that are available on DeNami to create the accent borders and window. You can find them HERE.

Here are the cards close up. First we start with the pink card.

I used a one inch punch and a 1 and 1/8 inch punch to create the little circles. I stamped the little jelly friends with Onyx Black Versafine Ink pad and colored with Tombow markers.

Here is the green card next.

I stamped the Polka Dot Background to create my own patterned paper.

Next is the lime card. I created a scene and used a leaf frond from our CL-GD010 Falling Leaves set.
It is great for backgrounds, but in this scene, I used it as seaweed. I think it worked great! You can even use it for jungle scenes as vines.

I then used an X-acto knife to cut out the leaves, but left the inner part of the leaf intact. I then pulled forward the leaves to create a great dimensional look. I also added Pretty Pink Posh droplets available from DeNami HERE. You can use the crystal clear lacquer from DeNami to attach the droplets or the ATG adhesive.

So glad you stopped by! Be sure to leave a comment each day to be entered into one of several giveaways! Go back to previous posts to be sure you didn't miss a post.

See you tomorrow for another day of peeks!

You're a Blessing Card

DT Lisa P, created a wonderful layered card that is simple enough to duplicate. You can easily change out the elements with flowers, chickies, scenes, etc, to customize to your recipient or based on your style.
You can also just change out the color scheme by making it bright, black and white, or neutral.

Here is what Lisa wrote:

Hello! Lisa P. here. I am totally smitten with the new CR04 Heartfelt Blessings Stamp Set from DeNami Design. Nami’s hand lettering is absolutely beautiful, and the sentiments are perfect for so many occasions. Today I’m sharing a baby card I made using one of the sentiments from the set.

I used LOTS of goodies from the DeNami Design Shop on this card (I’ve included a complete supply list at the end of this post). Here’s a closer look at the details:

Happy Easter Tag Card

Hi DeNami friends,

Happy Easter weekend! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the lovely weekend.

Just yesterday, I had the amazing idea to start a Facebook group, different than our Facebook page. Our group is interactive and stampers can share their DeNami creations, hauls and any fun stuff.

Val was our very first post, sharing how she made an adorable Easter card. She did such a great job on the details and dimension. She used Pretty Pink Posh dies, and DeNami is carrying them, that are available here.

You can find out all the supplies and details on her blogpost here.

If you are on Facebook, LIKE our page here.
If you are a DeNami stamper, join our group here and share your projects with you. You might even be featured!

Happy Easter and may God bless you in a special way.

Easter Card Using Selective Stamping Technique

Hi DeNami friends!

Here in Seattle, we have been having the most amazing weather. It has been in the 70's or close to it. It is like summer here in the NW. With the sunny weather, it truly is feeling like spring is here. With it comes flowers, chicks, bunnies, butterflies and new life.

Happy and springy cards are a great way of spreading the cheer of this wonderful season.
Today, Lisa made a great card using a cool technique called "selective stamping". It will really add a lot of mileage to your stamps you have and help you to look at stamps in a whole new way!

DeNami has lots of scene stamps. It often looks like the entire stamp needs to be used each time you use it, but with selective stamping, you can pick and choose what parts of the stamp you want to incorporate. The best part about this is that it's like getting many stamps for your one purchase! You can start browsing our stamps and see what kinds of images you can envision with this technique.

Follow Lisa as she explains how to create this adorable Easter card...

Hello! It’s Lisa P. Did you know that you can now purchase Pretty Pink Posh dies in the DeNami Design Shop?!?! Yes indeed! I absolutely love all of the dies that Paulina has released at Pretty Pink Posh, and they pair up perfectly with so many of DeNami Design’s super sweet images!!!

Today I’m sharing a card I made featuring the selective stamping technique and the Stitched Duo 1 Dies from Pretty Pink Posh (available for sale at DeNami Design). Let’s get to it!

Step 1: Die-cut the tag twice from white cardstock (once with the windows and once without). Tip: When die-cutting the one with the windows also die-cut one from Stamping Mask Paper (Inkadinkado) at the same time. You may need to run it through your die-cutting machine a few times to cut all the way through the cardstock and mask paper, but it will work.

Step 2: Adhere the mask (with the windows cut out) to the solid tag.

Step 3: Adhere three window masks.

Step 4: Take the K89 Hatching Chickies Border image and mask off all but one chickie with a post-it note.

Step 5: Apply ink to chickie.

Step 6: Peel away sticky note.

Step 7: Stamp chickie within upper left-hand window of tag.

Step 8: Clean your stamp. Repeat steps 4 through 7 (cleaning stamp in between) to add the remaining two chickies on the border stamp to the remaining two windows on your tag.

Step 9: Peel away the masks in the other three windows. Stamp the new CL-B120 Little Easter Eggs image in two of the windows and “Hello” from PF26 Assorted Greetings in the final window. Color all of the images with markers.

Step 10: Peel away the tag mask. Adhere cardstock window tag (the one you cut in Step 1) to the top of the solid tag stamped with images. Embellish the tag with a bow and some glitter. Cover the front of an A1-sized card with patterned paper. Adhere finished tag to the card front with foam squares.

I had so much fun making this card, and I’m really happy with the results! And I love the fact that you can use this same technique and layout to create cards for lots of different occasions. Just change up the DeNami Design images and you can create cards for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, graduations, etc. I know I’ll be revisiting this technique and layout many times in the near future, and I hope you will too!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

Easter Butterflies

Hi DeNami friends,

Happy spring!!! It is great to finally leave the cold winter and enter into the sunny days of spring. Spring is my favorite season of all. It the a new beginning of things. New flowers, new grass and fresh scents.

The wonderful thing about card making is you could be sending out cheer even while people are still facing winter right now. Today, Deb created a lovely and happy card using butterflies. I love her happy colors she chose. I don't use yellow as much as I like the color. I think I need to after seeing this lovely card.

She did a fantastic technique of repeating the scallops. It adds layers and really gives it a nice dimension. It is simple to do, but creates a great effect.

This is a card simple enough to send to all that need some cheer.

Here is how Deb made this. She writes:

Hello DeNami friends! It’s Deb and today I have a card to share with you. Spring is upon us in many states, so I decided to create a bright and simple spring inspired card.

First I trimmed up some white cardstock using one of my Stitched 2 border dies from Pretty Pink Posh to create a few layers. Then, I inked up Polka Dot Butterfly using the rock-n-roll technique. First I inked it up in the lighter shade and then rolled it around on the edges in the darker ink. I chose white cardstock, but you can also use kraft or another lighter cardstock. I inked up Happy Easter for my sentiment, but you could also use other various themes like birthday, thinking of you or congratulations. I tied a bow at the top of the card to finish it off.
I think the white cardstock paired with the bright colors creates a cheerful card. I hope you have been inspired to create something bright and cheerful as well. Thanks for stopping by the DeNami blog.
