Popsicle Party
10:40 AM
Hello, DeNami Design friends!
It’s Lisa P. Today
I’m sharing several ideas for creating a Popsicle-Themed Party! This
idea was inspired by the super adorable popsicle stamps that were
recently released by DeNami Design! LOVE them!!!
Here’s a look at the collection of goodies I created:
When
I was making one of my tags for Sneak Peek Week, I realized that the
PPPD07 Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 3 Dies look just like a popsicle
(minus the stick). That sparked the idea to add a craft stick to the
bottom of the die-cut and turn it into a popsicle. That, in turn,
sparked the idea to create some popsicle party invitations. Here’s what I
came up with:
For
each invitation, I die-cut the tag five times (once from patterned
paper, twice from coordinating colored cardstock, and twice from white
cardstock). I used a couple of border dies to trim the bottom of the
patterned paper tags. I adhered the patterned paper tag to the
coordinating colored cardstock tag and then to a white tag. Then, I
glued a craft stick to the back side of the white tag. I stamped the F82
It’s A Party sentiment and the F83 Party Info image onto the second
colored cardstock tag, adhered it to the second white tag, and then
adhered those to the back of the previously layered tags. Ta-da! A
popsicle invitation!
Here’s a look at the back side of the invitations:
Instead
of using envelopes to package up the invitations, I thought these
glassine bags were perfect! They measure 3 3/8” x 4 ¾”.
I
also made some little treat bags using the mini version of the same
tag. I followed the same process I used for the invitations, but left
out the extra white cardstock layers. And for the popsicle stick I used a
die-cut for a snow ski (just the bottom portion of the die-cut). I cut a
stitched label from white cardstock, stamped the sentiment and clipped
everything together onto a glassine treat bag with a tiny wooden
clothespin.
Finally,
I made some little place cards or food/snack labels. These were super
simple and feature many of the new popsicle images from DeNami Design
(see supply list at the end of this post). I die-cut three stitched
rectangles from white cardstock, stamped the images, and added color
with markers and a touch of sparkle with a glitter pen. I cut three
coordinating pieces of colored cardstock to 3 1/8” x 4 ¼” and scored
each at 2 1/8”. To finish, I attached the stamped rectangle in the
center.
I hope you like what I’ve shared today!!! I had so much fun putting this little popsicle party together!!!
Here’s one more look at the whole ensemble:

Ice Cream Birthday Card
9:10 AM
Ice Cream Paper Piecing Birthday Card
Hi Everyone!
I scream, you scream, we scream for ice cream! I don’t know
about you but I love ice cream. Ice cream is great for birthdays and DeNami has
this great Ice Cream Shoppe Set where you can create your own ice cream or
cupcake treats. I love this set and was waiting for the right time to use it. I
recently purchased some pattern paper and thought that it would perfect to use
with this stamp set!
Creating this card is simple and fast! My favorite kind of
card! First, choose the pattern paper that you want to use for the card. For my
card, I chose a pastel plaid for the background, orange stripes for the cone,
yellow with hearts for the first scoop and green with polka dots for the second
scoop. Next, stamp the images that you are going to use on the paper in black
ink. Luckily, these images are easy to fussy cut out because that is next step.
To create a nice finished edge on the pieces after I cut them out, I carefully
run a black marker around the edges of the images. You will need to cut down
the background to your desired and then you can adhere your cut images to
background. Next, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment in the bottom right
corner of the background in a nice black ink. Lastly, I adhered some enamel
dots that I found in my stash to the top right corner. Adhere the panel to your
card base and voila you have a great birthday card! I hope that you enjoyed my
project!

Same Cards Three Ways Day 3
4:00 AM
Hello DeNami Friends!
Today, I created 3 of the same cards in different color schemes using 2 DeNami
stamps: E205 Cupcake Owl Trio and J117 Medium Birthday Circle.
First, I
decided what color combinations I wanted to use. I made a navy/teal,
purple/pastel pink, and red/pink card. On a piece of white cardstock, I
stamped the Cupcake Owl Trio 3 times, leaving
plenty of space between them. I used Copic markers to color in the
images, keeping in mind the color combinations I decided on. Then,
using my glue pen and sparkle glitter, I added some shine to the poms on
the party hats and the heart on the cupcake wrap.
I set that aside to dry. Meanwhile, I die cut 3 rectangles from white
cardstock. Then, I die cut a circle out of each of the die
cut rectangles. Using ombre inks, I stamped the Medium Birthday Circle
around each die cut circle. Next, I cut out the Cupcake
Owls that I had colored. Using foam tape, I adhered the Birthday
circle stamped cardstock on top of the colored Cupcake owls, making sure
the owls were in the center of the circle. Then, I chose 3 patterned
papers to match my color schemes and die cut a
large rectangle out of each. I glued the patterned papers to each of
my white card bases, and then the Birthday & Owl panel on top. To
finish off my cards, I die cut some twine and small bows in coordinating
colored cardstock, and attached it to my card.
I trimmed off the excess, and added some glossy glue to the top of the
bows.
