Hello Chickie Tags- Guest Designer

Hello DeNami Friends,

Today we have a special guest from Germany, Anika Lerche. She is an avid card maker and creator. You will see she has a keen eye for color and design. She uses many mediums from colored pencils, to markers to watercolors.

She will be joining us on Fridays for the few weeks so be sure to visit.

Hello, I am Anni and I’m from Germany. For 15 years now I´ve lived in the beautiful city Berlin and I am married. I work as a math-teacher at a vocational college. Making papercrafts is a perfect balance to that.
I have been stamping since 2008, I love clean and simple cards, and yet eventually my cards often turn out to be somewhat more complex. I love the therapy of paper piecing and resist techniques. You can see all my projects at www.anikarten.blogspot.de.

Here's my monster tag projects:

  • I die cut tags from Copic friendly paper.
  • I stamped the birds with Memento ink and colored them with Copic markers. I also created a ground and a sky around them with copics.
  • I choose one color for every bird/tag and left the tag monochrome.
  • I die cut the sentiment from matching cardstock.
  • For some contrast I added black and white twine.

Week of Gifts and Favors- Day 1 For the Kitchen

Hello, DeNami Design Friends!

This week our design team is sharing ideas for gifts and favors. When I saw this little C117 Chef Owl, I instantly fell in love! He is so totally cute!!! For my project today I created tags to decorate some simple party favors. These would be perfect for a housewarming party or a soup exchange party.

I die-cut three tags from white cardstock and then die-cut the bottom of each tag with a scalloped border. I stamped the C117 Chef Owl onto each tag and added color with markers. I stamped the sentiment below the image and attached a strip of patterned paper to the bottom. To finish, I punched a hole in the top and threaded some baker’s twine through. So simple---which is key when you want to make multiples for party favors.

I tied the tags onto pairs of wooden spoons and colorful spatulas:

Isn’t that fun?!?! Here’s a closer look:

I hope you like my party favor idea for today!!!

Thanks for visiting!

Gift Tags- Day 4 Packaging Tag

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today I wanted to show you this gift tag that I made with the adorable owl stamp by DeNami Design. To make this tag I used a free cutting file by Brother that you can find on the Canvas website for the Scan'N'Cut. it's not actually even a git tag but I just made it into one. I think it looks so beautiful.

I cut out the two part that I needed for the rosette from orange and light orange paper. I tried it with cardstock but it was too stiff to form the nice loops that you want for the rosette. I folded the individual "arms" to the center and adhered them. To assemble the rosette I layered both pieces and glued them together. The cutting file also includes a circle, I cut two of them. On one I stamped the owl image and colored it with alcohol markers. I then adhered the circle in the center of the rosette and did the same with the second circle on the back. But before glueing down the second one, I took a piece of matching baker's twine and positioned it between the rosette and the circle.

I really enjoyed making this gift tag and I hope you like it as much as I do!

Gift Tag Ideas- Day 3 Panda Party Gift Tag

Hello DeNami Friends!

Today, I've got a tag for you featuring Panda Pals Clear stamp set.  I think gift tags are a perfect way to dress up a cheap gift bag!

Here's how I created my tag:
  1. I die cut a tag from a piece of heavy weight white card stock.
  2. I stamped the party hat/cupcake panda image from the clear stamp set multiple times on the tag.
  3. Using water color markers, I colored the hat and cupcakes.
  4. I die cut another tag from a piece of patterned paper, and then glued the 2 tags together.
  5. I used some pink & white twine to finish off my tag.
Hope you have a fantastic day!

Gift Tag Ideas- Day 2 Shaker Gift Tags

Shake It Up With Gift Tags!

Hello DeNami Friends!

You just wrapped the perfect gift for the birthday party that you’re going to and you need a gift tag! You could go to the store and buy one but why do that when you are crafty. Shake things up with a shaker gift tag! You don’t need a lot of supplies, so you can make it quickly!

You need a set of dies that nest to create your shaker. For mine I used a set of balloon dies. You will use the largest die three times. Once to create the back of the shaker and again for the front with the smaller die nested inside to create the window. The last time that you use the largest die is to cut the acetate for the window. You may need to run this through your machine a couple of times to get it to cut all the way around. Adhere the acetate to front to finish making the window. On the back of the of the back piece I used the Small Happy Birthday in black ink. Next, cut foam tape to go around the window to create the enclosure that will hold all your shaker bits. I place my shaker bits on the back piece and adhere the window to the back my peeling off the tape off the foam tape. I used twine to finish them and give them that nice finishing detail. I hope that you enjoyed my project! Until next time!

Gift Tag ideas- Day 1

Hello, DeNami Design Friends!

It’s Lisa P. Today I’m sharing some gift tags that I created to dress up a couple of little packages I put together for my neighbor friends who are competing in a duathlon.

Since Donna will be doing the running, I stamped her tag with the NEW CL-C119 Running Owl. I layered it with a second tag die-cut from patterned paper that coordinates well with the Raspberry Energy Chews (Skratch Labs) that I put inside the glassine bag.

And since Luke will be doing the cycling, I stamped his tag with the NEW CL-C113 Bicycle Owl. I also layered his tag with a second tag die-cut from patterned paper that coordinates well with the Orange Energy Chews that I put inside the glassine bag.

I had so much fun putting these together! I hope my friends get a kick out of them, and I hope they do well in their race!!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Glamorous Floral Gift Tags

Hello, DeNami Friends!

It’s Lisa P. here! DeNami’s newest release included several absolutely gorgeous floral images, so this week the DT's are sharing projects with a floral theme. For my project, I created two pairs of tags.

First up, a couple of layered tags.

To begin, I die-cut two tags from white cardstock using PPPD09 Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Tags Dies. I stamped the sentiment and flowers in VersaMark ink and heat embossed them in gold. I colored the images with Souffle pens and allowed the ink time to dry. The ink from the Souffle pens “puffs up” adding really fun texture (as well as color) to the image. I layered each of my stamped tags with two larger tags, one die-cut from foiled vellum and one die-cut from white cardstock. To finish, I added a few gold sequins, punched a hole in the top of each tag and threaded some gold sparkle hemp cord through. So simple, but so pretty!

Here’s a look at each tag individually (as well as a close-up of the aqua tag):

For my second pair of tags, I used only the larger tag (die-cut with PPPD05 Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Duo 1 Dies). I die-cut the tag twice from white cardstock. I stamped the NEW CL-J157 Flower Filigree Trio and sentiment in VersaMark ink and heat embossed them in gold. I colored the images on the pink tag with Copic markers (just to try out something different) and colored the images on the aqua tag with Souffle pens. To finish, I added a few sequins to the pink tag.

Here’s a closer look at the pink tag:

And here’s a look at the pair:

I intentionally left these two tags as they are…without any holes punched in the top. This way, I can save them to use at a moment’s notice. I can easily add them to a card base for a quick and easy card for lots of different occasions. Or, I can tie them onto a gift bag to quickly dress up a package for a friend/neighbor.

I hope you like my projects for today! Thanks for visiting!

Christmas Flannel Gift Tags

Hi Friends,

I love this time of year with the sweaters, scarves, boots and flannel! Today, DT Lisa creates a fabulous flannel print gift tag set. The best part is you just need solid cardstock and you can create a flannel print on any of it! No need for preprinted papers or cardstock for this one. It makes your cardstock go a long way!

You can find out cardstock HERE.

These would also be great to attach to canning jars filled with goodies, sparkling cider or wine. You can even use a piece of flannel to wrap around the bottles or jars and tie these tags on!

Follow along as Lisa shares how she did it. Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~
Hi there! It’s Lisa P. Is everyone in full on festive holiday mode? I definitely am! I’m having lots of fun making holiday cards/packaging, preparing yummy meals/treats, attending get-togethers, skiing, snowshoeing, etc! I absolutely LOVE this time of year!!!
Today I’m sharing a trio of tags that would be perfect for dressing up your holiday gift packages.
To create the tags, I cut three 2” x 7” strips from kraft cardstock and scored them at 4”. I die-cut the shorter end of each with a stitched border die. Then, I cut three 2” x 1.5” strips from red cardstock and stamped them with the N143 Gingham Background. I love how this looks like flannel! So comfy and cozy! I stamped the snowflakes and greetings in black ink. To add to the rustic feel, I finished off the tags by punching a hole in the top, threading through some red woven burlap, and tying a bow around it with rustic jute twine.
Here’s a look at each one individually:
So…what do you think?!?! I hope you like my project for today and feel inspired to get crafty this holiday season!
Have a wonderful week!!!
Halloween Doggie Treat Tags
Hello Friends,
I know so many people that consider their furry friends as their furry "children" and like to give them treats. How fun would it be to give treats to your friend's furry babies! DT Lisa P had a great idea to make cute treats to give them. She recently added her own furry baby, so furry babies are definitely on her radar.
Follow along as you hear her describe how she created this cuteness!
~~~

Hello! It’s Lisa P. I recently took my puppy, Pepper, to a play date with two of her best puppy friends in Golden. Since Halloween is right around the corner I couldn’t resist taking along a little treat bag for each pup. I decorated the bags with tags I created using a bunch of DeNami Design stamps and Pretty Pink Posh dies.

Here’s a look at the tags:

Don’t you just love how perfectly the new C108 Solid Pointy Hat fits on those playful puppies?!?! I tried to choose a puppy that looked like each of Pepper’s friends to further personalize the tags. Goldie is a chocolate lab.

On the back of each tag I stamped “Happy Halloween” (selectively inking the sentiment so I could split it up onto two lines), some fun splatters (to coordinate with the front of the tag), and To/From.

Thumper is a blue heeler/australian shepherd mix. I didn’t have an exact stamp to match his breed, but I did the best I could with what I had.

I tied the tags onto some kraft gift bags. I put a smoked marrow bone (one of Pepper’s favorites) in each bag and finished off the packaging with some orange tissue paper. They were a big hit!

I hope you like my creation for today! Thanks so much for visiting!
